Kondor Vilmos, Zajácz D. Zoltán, Rejtő Jenő; most éppen olvasok a Halál Tihanyban című könyvet Szlavicsek Judittól. Mindez miatt a szókincsem nagyon furcsa … “gyilkosság”, “halottkém”, “szemtanú”, “cigarettát rágyújtott” … 😅 Köszi a videót!

Inkább a rendes, nyomtatott könyveket szeretem olvassni. Azaz igazi, szerintem.

Sounds good 🥰 There is a super cute word in Hungarian for when you get comfortable on the couch with a blanket, having a hot tea or coffee reading a book: bekuckózik (egy könyvvel) The activity could be anything, watching a movie, or working from home on your laptop. It's about being super cozy doing something enjoyable. Fall time is for kuckózás könyvvel :D

I love reading books. 99 percent books are in polish. Rest are in foreign languages - I have them on shelf and want to read, or they are on Goodreads marked "to read". Interesting list of books. I have read one book from Jacqeuline wilson and I didn't like it. Would be nice that one day will be other episode about books in hungarian and recommendations for foreigners to read by level (very general).

Sounds great 🥰 I want to use Goodreads again, I stopped for a while. As for Hungarian books by levels that is something that doesn't exist. There are maybe 2-3 books like that claim to be easier versions of Hungarian novels but I read them and they are super hard. I have no idea why they say it's A2-B1, it's just simply not true. Books for native speakers are even hard for students at B2 level. What I would recommend if you want to read something in Hungarian is to find the Hungarian translation of a young adult book you really liked and read in your native language. If you already know what it is about it'll help a lot. It'll be nostalgic too and you'll be curious how they say this and that, things you remember from the book. So I think that could be a good start. Children's books are super hard for adult learners, and classics as well. When I read the Little Princess in Spanish (I was level A2) I looked up the book in Hungarian on a library's website and I read one page in Hungarian first then one page in Spanish. And that was enough for me for one day :D But I enjoyed it. So just be patient and curious and have fun 🥰

@@HungarianwithSziszi thank you for your answer. In general, I didn't mean simplified versions of books, because it would be hard to find. I meant books in Hungarian (translations or not) for Hungarians. Some books is written with more simple words and others are not. YA books are kind of solution, but the problem would be that there are not a lot of that kind of books on that market (only the most popular, but not much). And we have popular fantasy books which are quite hard even in English because of specific language used and created specific neologisms. My first read book in English was Paper Towns by John Green. It's YA written in quite easy way. A very large expanse of sea is written quite easy too. The second is not published in Hungarian. We have Harry Potter, Hunger games, maze runner and other similar.

Lately, I was thinking of buying a Novel on Hungarian, but I can't decide. I like older ones that are from Europe and East Asia ane India and that they wheren't writen in English. Have You ever read The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot! Is there even a Translation into magyar nyelv? Maybe You would like Vörös, fehér és királykék? Have You ever read Jane Austen and the Brontë Sisters? How do You like Doktor Zsivágó?

Yes, I read the Princess Diaries in Hungarian when I was in high school ☺️ I think choosing a YA book you love and already read in your native language could be a good start and could be very enjoyable. I haven't read Vörös, fehér és királykék but I love the movie :D I watched it 25 times already I think. I never read Jane Austen but I love Jane Eyre, I read it multiple times and I have it next to me on my bookshelf. I haven't read Doktor Zsivágó but I watched the movie. I think it was a series, I'm not sure. I honestly don't remember too much so I don't think it had a huge impact on me. Or I was just too young and maybe I should give it a go again. I watched it when I was a teenager.
