Please join this no - commentary video as I refresh my memory on the Gatwick VFR control zone, threading the needle up to London City from the south coast of England! My Comanche is doing well, only needed to top up the oil so far after the 20 odd ours of the ferry flights that brought me from the Lock Haven factory earlier this week.

That is some busy airspace right there. Need to keep ahead with frequencies and charts etc.

I am a US based pilot and curious to learn more about UK airspace. Bit intimidated to jump on vatsim until I feel a little more comfortable with it, but this is helpful to hear some of the differences and what to expect. Curiosity question: Aren't single engine/single pilot operations prohibited at at London City? If that is still the case, would Vatsim controllers ever enforce that?

I haven't heard that single engine aircraft are prohibited. I would imagine that you'd hear about that on VATSIM. I know Heathrow airspace, being class A is off limits to the likes of me, which is totally understandable and VATSIM would most likely hold to that restriction.

I don't know, I wasn't paying attention at the time so I didn't catch his voice specifically
