Other simulators like X-Plane 11, or even soon X-Plane 12 can reach those realistic graphics, with better flight models, systems etc...

@@Admistt What? X-Plane will in no way shape or form look better than FS2020. They're only making an X-Plane 12 because they want to remain as the #1 flight sim because FS2020 is currently the #1 sim. XP12 is just a way to get more people to invest thousands of dollars in their sim, it's just a ripoff. XP10 looks like XP11, and XP11 will look no different than XP12. The default scenery and flight controls are horrible in XP11, unless you invest thousands of dollars into making the sim look great which is exactly why they're making XP12 so that you can spend hundreds more, XP12's just a ripoff, don't fall for the trick.
@Admistt3 жыл бұрын
@@thecomedypilot5894 I have no idea i’ve you even done any research on XP10-11-12 but everything you just said is just stupid. MSFS may be the #1 flight sim, but that is because it’s a game, it’s not hard to use. XP takes knowledge and practice, and there’s a reason why there’s study level aircraft there, and none on MSFS. There’s no trick, and everything from XP11 will be compatible on XP11, so whatever you bought on XP11, you’ll be able to use on XP12, so you don’t have to spend any more money than you already have. XP12 just has a better lighting engine and better clouds, so you spend *less* money. And either way, all those addons and stuff, they going to the developers, not laminar research. Did you even look up anything you just said? Because I did.

Neat to see the reversers deploying on a CFM 56 engine. Best view I’ve seen of that. My employer’s A319s and A320s use V2500 engines which use cascade vane reversers. That’s where as the reverser cowls slide aft, blocker doors divert bypass air through the exposed vanes, directing the airflow forward. Interestingly, the CFMs on 737s use cascade vane reversers as well. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an Airbus with CFMs up close. I’ll have to read up on how the reverser linkage works on those engines. Thanks for the video.

Something that caught my attention was upon turning into the taxiway @ 7:18, the front left tire appeared to be under inflated. I understand that tires do tend to give way on turns, but for an aircraft of this size, it surprised me as to how low the tire body gives way, it almost appears the tire rims may even touch the pavement.
@tarcisofilho48783 жыл бұрын
That's very common on the A320. If you tke a look at the NLG from the side, you can see how it's slightly tilted forward. So when it steers to one direction, one of the wheels might not even come in contact with the ground! (P.S. I work on A320's all day, but mainly on an empty maintenance configuration, I assume if it's full of pax and cargo the tyre deformation is even higher)

For everyone who wonders: ITS REAL. Pilots make mistakes, yes he overshot the final approach and had to correct. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME. Flying manually isn’t easy. Oh don’t come at me with “oh but he put his gear down too soon” no he didn’t. Some airlines/airports have an SOP(Standard Operating Procedure) that states the be FULLY CONFIGURED(max flaps, gear down, minimum approach speed) at a certain point at a specific airport. Why? Safety. How? 1. The plane is slower that way so there is more time to anticipate. 2. It takes workloads off the pilots so they can focus on navigating visually and properly flying the aircraft(since everything has been done and cross checked). The reflections don’t freeze. The plane actually moves slightly side to side in the air making it slightly orbit around a small area making it seem like it freezes. Think about when you drive a car and you try to follow a sign with your head compared to looking straight ahead and letting the sign pass you without looking at it. To your eye it will be stationary in the middle of your eye, but the car is still moving and not frozen. The shadows aren’t fake. If you look closely when reverser deployed it refracts some light back into the shadow perfectly without any sort of detail loss or ambient occlusion glitches. Even the newest unreal engine struggles with that. Only real life can do that perfectly. Also, if you look at how the plane suspension works, how it sways on touchdown, how the nosewheel bends and deforms in turns, etc. In msfs gear looks weird. You can check it yourself. When moving, airline gears become fuzzy. This stays perfect like a real wheel would. Also, there is no lod pop in. In msfs even with lod in the config file on 9.0, you will still have slight popping in the distance. Here it’s 0. Also look at the road traffic. We all know msfs road traffic is very weird and not smooth. It’s also see through. In this video traffic is perfectly fine. This video is not a render or simulator. It is simply real. The title/description/tags are meant to make you think it’s a sim or render. It’s not. It’s real. Please stop spreading this fake stuff

Excellent ground texturing, especially the runway - best I've ever seen on a flight sim! Very realistic. Shadows are still not quite right (plane on the ground), but not too bad. The mesh is very detailed and accurate now - is the resolution less than 1m? Although the photo real scenery was good, it was too bright once one got down low, and that looked fake. Great to see passable road traffic. One thing I note all flight sims miss out at the moment is wildlife and people - and without those, as good as the overall graphics are, things still feel sterile. I know that details like animals and people are really only visible below a certain altitude, but without their presence the "oh wow!" factor drops off under 1,000 feet or so. Still, this video shows a flight sim miles ahead of poor old FSX, the last sim I tinkered with...

About the shadow, you can literally see the light reflect off the thrust reverser back into the shadow without compromising a single bit of detail of the shadow. This isn’t a render. The whole title and description is there to make you think it’s rendered. It’s not. It’s a real video of a real plane in the real world. Look at the suspension, ground handling, etc. Read the a320fcom and look at the specified times for the gear doors to close. You’ll see it perfectly matches the time on the video.

As it's a go-pro, the depth perception would be off. Plus it also depends on what speed ATC have limited the arriving aircraft at.
@westondecker683 жыл бұрын
Exactly what I was thinking.
@MrCaiobrz3 жыл бұрын
Wrong. First, you can't see flaps, only the slats (which are not implemented in the game, your first hint), second, you start slats at decel, which starts about 5 minutes before landing, so ... not that soon. Gear is down about 2 minutes before flare, but since they went to the trouble of strapping a go-pro on it, I don't see why not lower it earlier. It can be lowered as long as the speed is under 240knots (the plane was already around that speed when the video started). This is real.

@@MrCaiobrz ik this is real life but slats are in the game and functional
@corisco75903 жыл бұрын
@@SvrM_ Yep. And the slats rendered in the game are kind of crappy, their contour do not look much like the real ones, that's one point on the FS2020 A320 that can could use some improvement.

This is the real-deal. The weight of the landing gear as it's extending gives it away. Also, the ground traffic is too real to be MSFS. Great job with the filming! WOW!

The realism of the image is simply off the scale. And I would believe that this is a real shooting. But some nuances still give out a computer simulation. For example, after the landing gear struts enter the landing position, they are fixed and represent a fairly rigid structure relative to the fuselage. And therefore, the evolutions of the aircraft during landing should not cause the camera to shift relative to the fuselage. And for some reason the simulator allows this.

Could some explain me the detail artefact in the green trees at around 6:00 min? Also the contrast of the runway stripe ist extrem (6:36). There are perfect white. And the truck at 8:36 looks a little bit odd and very simple. Until this I was convincend that it is real. But now I think it is an incredible simulation. I was not sure about the landscape reflection in the back of the engines.
@corisco75903 жыл бұрын
It's perfectly natural to have larger, greener trees in lower terrain spots, as water supply is more abundant in those places. Runway stripes contrast is pretty typical, I've landed on runways with both more and less contrast on their markings.
