Way better than Tavarish. Anyone can buy a supercar (obviously with money) but to build one on your own...you are a legend my friend.

Thanks! I used to be a legend in my own mind, now there are two of us Ha!

Glad I found your channel. Ever since I drove a 720s around LVMS, I've accidentally reinvigorated my childhood dream of building my own supercar. I've got about 10 other project cars and a fledgling carbon fiber business I'm working on right now, but in the mean time I'll live vicariously through your channel haha

You say live "vicariously" through my channel, but beware that might be "precariously!" At any rate, glad to have you along for the ride.

Thanks for following the channel David. Greetings to all the car enthusiasts in India. I decided to post my projects on KZbin to show that things like this can be done. Glad to hear that it could be of some inspiration.

Just found your videos a few days ago, fantastic. You have some serious skills! Thanks for the tutorials , they will go a long way to help me with my current project and my next ones!

Glad you found me. What is the current project?

YOU good sir are doing the very thing I've always wanted to do. I wish I could quit my job and join your project. I will be watching each video...but I'll probably never be able to afford one of these beauties! I wish you all the best!

"Good Sir" I like that! never liked Mr. Jarvie, made me sound old . . . wait, I am getting old! Never to old to build a car however. Also never to expensive! There are many less costly methods to create a great car. Don't stop dreaming!

Two wheeler with a fiberglass Fuselage body. I have some images and vids of rough foam plug on my channel, finishing shaping to fiberglass now , wish I would have seen your vids first, would have used burlap and plaster method but , onward and upward with what I have. Definitely want to see your fiberglass tutorials!
@BuilderCreator4 жыл бұрын
Just came from your channel, and no, I think you were right to go with the foam. A small narrow form like yours can easily be shaped and made symmetrical in the foam. Is this going to be a one-off bike? or are you planning on duplicating it? If its a one-off I can step you through a method of taking your body panels right off the plug (perhaps a video tutorial?)

BuilderCreator , thanks for taking the time to look at the channel, I plan on doing molds, one for the option of doing multiples, also for the experience doing a mold . Next will be planning the drivetrain, trying to decide straight ice motor or a hybrid electric set up! Looking forward to your newest vids, thanks again for the videos and convo. Good luck with the build!

Love you videos THANKS !! Why don't you perforate the foam sheet we have a small roller with spikes to do that seems like it helps the resin tie everything together .
@BuilderCreator4 жыл бұрын
Would likely just add unnecessary weight, as the epoxy adheres beautifully without added mechanical bond. Thanks for your interest however, and thanks for following the channel.

I'm excited to see the construction of the CNC. Are you thinking of building a large scale SLA printer as well? You could use a UV bed to harden the resin with a DLP or Laser short throw for your aperture. If it's over a certain size you will probably need a dual suppot Z axis gantry. Have you thought to make the airflow cowling a bolt on or tabbed part? If you're going to reproduce the body panels it might be a good idea.

I have been bingeing on this show and its great the solutions you have. I'm still not sure why you are using the strand fibreglass and not just some foam and make a cavity... 🤔 What is the difference in bond strength between making the whole thing in one go, and laminating over cured glass? What resin are you using?
@BuilderCreator4 жыл бұрын
"One go" is by far the superior method, however just not practical or at least I'm not able or willing to do 8+ hour laminating stints. Bond strength is correlated to how well you break into the base layers of fiberglass (without breaking so far as to disrupt[t the weave) The epoxy is supplied by US Composites, it is a structural laminating resin.

Binged watched a few episodes now. Have you ever watched Bad Obsession Motorsport’s project binky? Also, whats you’re reasoning for fiberglass over carbon fiber?
@BuilderCreator4 жыл бұрын
Carbon fiber only where there is a reasonable advantage in the material. Glass just to bond the carbon in place. All the main structure is S-Glass composites.

How much does it cost to make a car like this
@BuilderCreator4 жыл бұрын
I have set a budget of $25 thousand. That is for all materials and components. Does not include the cost of fabricating the molds at about $4K. I'm doing pretty good at sticking with the budget, but bolts and hardware are killing me. seams like 40cent bolts are $2.40 now days. Anyway, the $25K budget was to keep me grounded and to make the project realistically feasible for anyone finding the channel and considering venturing off onto a project like this. That is one of my main objectives, to inspire others to take on big projects. Oh! the other hidden expense, "my time" at $5.00/hr (I work cheap) x 4000hr= another $20k, but I'm a terrible employer and will likely never pay myself. Ha!
