I have a 2022 A45sAMG and a new GLC43AMG both with the same motor. These motors are crammed with F1 tech, hence they are very quick (3.8 second's to 100ks in the A45s and 4.75 to 100ks in the GLC43), so why do you need a V8 except for the noise. The GLC43 has an electrified turbo, which keeps it spinning when the revs are down, hence helping to eliminate turbo lag. I would have liked to hear more about the features the GLC has, both under the bonnet and inside, like the amazing MBUX system, also the fact that it has rear wheel steering. I don't know what you are taking about when it comes to" creeks and rattles". Our GLC has none and I didn't hear any when you were driving. If you push the #$%^ out of any new dash, you will get a noise. Don't agree with not going for the carbon fibre package as it looks far better than the standard dash (which I think is ugly). The standard seats with red inserts is the way to go. Don't need the racing seat or package, waste of money. Also the black is the best looking colour in this model, hate the silver. Just my opinion as a owner of a new GLC.
@vikram54914 ай бұрын
Dude, it's not F1 tech. It's F1 inspired. The electronic turbos they actually use in Mercs F1 engines are nothing close to what ends up in their road cars. Everything from it's architecture to the materials & technology are all different. It's just a similar idea. They use the term F1 tech to just sell cars to people. If they really used F1 tech, these cars would cost around a Million dollars.

You might be lucky to have one that doesn’t rattle. I have driven a few demo’s at our local dealership, and all of their interiors had bad creaking noises consistently.

@@vikram5491 Just words - F1 inspired, using F1 Technology, you can't believe I meant actual F1 equipment. Though I did read that they use the same 'slippery bore' system as used in F1. These engines are very complex, "inspired by F1 advances" hence being able to pump out 416hp from the GLC and 423hp from the A45s

This is one of the best reviews I have seen! Superb! I have run a 2018 43 AMG since new and now have 70K km on the clock so will be in the market next year for a new one. We have loved this car as we live in the Swiss Alps and the versatility (skies on the roof and bikes behind) has been amazing. We have big winter and summer tires and the car is safe and comfortable. I have liked the engine very much even though it has not been actually made by AMG but I always felt the gearbox was 2nd grade (compared to my P 911). This review makes me a bit worried as the engine is downgraded and the gearbox is unchanged... I think the advice is good to wait for six months to see what they come up with.

We have had a 2019 GLC43 AMG which we also loved. There were no" rattles or squeaks" after 51,000klms. We have traded it in for a 2024 GLC43 AMG and LOVE it! The interior is amazing. Because the reviewer pushes on some dash bits till they make a noise doesn't mean they the rattle. The engine is great, not downgraded but advanced, even more power than the V6.The new GLC incorporates a 48V mild hybrid, which adds a few more kilowatts. The exhaust note gives a lovely crackle. Don't be put off by the outdated BMW X3 fans. You will not be disappointed.

I’m in the same boat, had a 2017 since the end of 2019, looking to get the 2024 next year! No issues either, changed the breaks and oil as needed. Once you get closer to 100k KM you might need to change your ignition coils or starter but that’s normal.
