Hey Gary,, i have had 5 Hyundai's starting with a 2003 Accent manual and never an issue of any kind so in my opinion extremely reliable. I had the 2003 Accent then a 2008 Accent, a 2009 Accent SE, 2017 Elantra manual and now a 2019 Elantra manual. You know Gary cars from the last few years are SUBSTANTIALLY lower in order to keep increasing the MPG. My 2009 Accent i was able to stick a standard floor jack underneath but my 2017 and 2019 Elantra it's impossible and i would need to buy one of those lower profile floor jacks. The underneath looks like a Corvette with all the ducts and body work like it was designed in a wind tunnel. The 2009 Accent got about 25 mpg city and my Elantra being a larger car with 40 more HP gets 32/33 city, naturally not all from the lowering and bodywork but it helps, fortunately the Elantra was still available with a 6 speed manual and compared to the Accent 5 speed the Elantra really cruises effortlessly and quietly at 75-80 where the Accent would start to be buzzy and rev over 65 and at 80 i think it was revving 4 grand where the Accent barely 3 grand. Interesting to know that H and Kia are also going with those internal filters, i was thinking of selling my Grand Cherokee and get a Sportage AWD which has a 6 speed but decided against it, for the measly $1500.00 the Jeep is worth i will keep it until something major happens then sell. I was thinking of coming back to LI for a week before winter but with this COVID nonsense, roadblocks, quarantine, etc. i think i will postpone--Is George still working by himself? When he swapped my TC on Saturday his Son showed up to help him out, considering he had hip surgery he sure moved around pretty good.

Gary, am I understanding clearly that the transmission has to come out of the vehicle to change the filter? And if so that was a great call doing it while accessible. Your videos are very informative thank you for sharing them.

You gotta love easy jobs like these as a business man.. But as a customer, I cringe at jobs like these. lol.... The amount of money they pay, when you could just do it yourself. That's why I love working on my on stuff, you save so much cash.

@t vehicle hyundai ix 35 gdi type gearbox type A6GF1 gearbox 1 and 2 gears while accelerating the sound of metal milking. Sometimes it is 3rd gear. I changed the clutch and steel kits to a new one. The sound decreased but it did not improve. I did not change the 3-5 reverse and overdrive pistons. Do I need to change it? Would you help me with this topic ?

Have you had any experience with the A6MF2H? It appears that the H stands for Hybrid. The car runs on the electric until about 10mph then the motor starts and the engine revs high without engaging with the transmission. It will buck some when this happens. I’m not getting any codes unfortunately.
@GaryFerraro3 жыл бұрын
Never worked on the hybrid, but has the fluid level been checked in the trans
@jodypearman85263 жыл бұрын
@@GaryFerraro I am fixing to, have to remove a lot of stuff to get to the fill / vent on it. I just got the car and don’t have any codes so I don’t have a base line of how it should operate. Not sure if it’s batteries or transmission. I’ll check and get back to you. Those transmissions are pretty solid aren’t they?

have a question not about a Kia Rio but about a Sorento. working on my daughters 2011 Kia Sorento, symptoms are no or low power and very poor, slow acceleration, have pretty much narrowed it down to a bad torque converter, fuel pressure, compression, cat converter all check out fine, no codes, no noise from transmission, fluid looks decent, pretty confident it's the torque converter, my question, is there anything else I should replace while I have it out, new pump maybe even though there is no noise ? Any solenoids to replace ?

How is reverse? So it takes off heavy from a stop like it's in a higher gear?
@Splashfun2000 Жыл бұрын
@@GaryFerraro reverse works fine. No it's in 1st when it starts out from a stop, acceleration is slow. If I have it in automatic mode it starts out pretty good in first struggles a bit but will shift into 2nd, will not shift into 3rd. In manual shift mode it shifts into all the gears no problem but takes forever to get up to speed.
