Willys Gassers are the all-time greatest !! Ilove all things drag racing but a Willys Gasser is pure drag racing at its best!! The look, the sound, that straight axle stance......It just screams Mean Fuckin' Machine!!!!

My all time favorite AA/GS car.Stone ,Woods and Cook.I built a model from the old AMT model kits that were available in the mid 60s. Great video !

Yes, you will find the Winged Express, twice and independent clips. Wild pass from the old Las Vegas drag strip (1999), and another run from Firebird Raceway in Boise, ID, during the 1999 Nightfire Nationals. Glad you're enjoying this from afar!

When I first saw that black Willy's "Foreplay" on my screen, I said to myself, "Jeeeeeze!!!". Just look at it! Every square inch of that Demon car says "go away or I will kill you". If Satan had a car it would be "Foreplay". Someone needs to drive a stake through it's engine... stop it from ever being built again. When it heat up it's tires, it scared the hell outta' me! ...for a moment there, I thought it was comin' after me. And then "Foreplay" did what I expected to that other car, its competitor... sent him to the salvage yard for further adjustments. Really! Scariest car/Willys I've ever seen. Thanks for the cool video.

For me, a gasser has to have the front end jacked up a bit. otherwise, it looks like all the current lowered to the weeds cars.

I never saw it, so I don't know if it is the same car. The K.S. Willys didn't really travel beyond California in those days. My racing idols? My dad and Dale Pulde. 😀

Dale Pulde was a badass , member him in the miller high life funny car, my racing idols would have to be , dale earnhardt , dennis anderson , john THE BRUTE force ,jumpin jack monaghan , danny the dude lasoski , brian carson the king of crash. stuntman . and yes THE WINGED EXPRESS.

Ha...very cool! My dad is Frank Mazi. He drove a blown gasser (Opel for 10 years and then later a Trans Am) in Comp Eliminator. Video of Opel from Columbus in 1984. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJuapKydqL-crbM

the baddest gasser of them all is missing. OHIO George with his Cammer Gasser. NHRA banned him from competition with the Ford engine. it was just too fast,lol.
