Great vid (always nice to find a UK vid, as most vids on KZbin seem to be USA!) That Sealey jack seems to beat the Snap-On in every way (height, easier to jack up, weight, ergonomic).

Morning Ant Great upload as always.... I've had 2 of the Sealey low profile 3 tonne Jack's (model 304OAR) since Oct 2019.... FANTASTIC bits of kit. Can't fault em..... Such a QUICK lift too & such an easy action. They lift the Truck like it's butter. Max height 533mm so definitely handy for the L200. You'll definitely enjoy using.. Stay lucky. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Alan L200

Yes Alan, yours lift an extra 40mm with a bit more beef, I wanted something lighter, was considering the 1.5 tonne model as it looks very nice and its not often I will need anything larger my old yellow jack was 1.5 tonne and worked like a charm, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

I really like mine, I have a really low E46 M3 race car, and this is the only jack I found that could get under it, really nice bit of kit IMO.

I have a very similar jack. The ultra low side skirts gets scuffed up and the paint chips off and rust forms. I had to sand it down and repaint it. Now it has tape on it and when the tape gets scuffed up I just replace it before it takes the paint off.

I will need to be careful with this one then gav, hopefully it will last a few years, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

I just bought a pair of 3000LE's, I don't think you did the inital bleed procedure correctly. Going by the manual it says to have the handle turned fully anti-clockwise and pump 20 times so the actual jack arm won't go up. Once you've done this on the last 20th pump on the downward stroke turn the handle all the way clockwise then you can use the jack as normal

Does the jacking pad remove, and if so what diameter hole is left for fitting a cross beam?
@aaanton112 жыл бұрын
The pad is bolted on, so not easy to pop off. Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Is the pad removable on the new Sealey jack? Can it take a Transmission adapter in a 30mm spigot?

Unfortunately not, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

Nice comparison, Looks like the Snap-on won on lowering. Looked more controllable.

She is a beauty, the old skool snap-on is a rare commodity but the weight is an issue, its so dam heavy😂 and the low entry was doing my head in, Thanks Garry for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

I would look more at the road surface, the trucks cause ruts in the road and the bugs wheel base sits right on the edges of these ruts, this can make the car move all over the place, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠

This looks identical to the Halfords Advanced one, but you get 3 years warranty with the Halfords one.
@aaanton112 жыл бұрын
Its very similar, the Halfords one is £200, is only 2 tonne, and there are differences in the build, Thanks for the great comments👍🏻👍🏻🛠
@MrZimmaframe2 жыл бұрын
@@aaanton11 Yes 200 for the 3 ton halfords advanced. But £165.99 for the 2 ton which is more compareable to the Sealey's 2.25, 3 year warranty compared to Sealeys 1 year. I got my 3 ton Halfords Advanced on Black Friday and only paid £150 for the 3 ton, and I think the 2 ton was only like £120. The sealey is good for the price, i have noticed less weld on the rear wheel area and no weld join the the middle of the sealey. But both look like great jacks.
@Danme19872 жыл бұрын
I have returned 2 halfords ones as the rams were being scuffed internally and scraping the ram metal on metal. The jack worked ok but this will eventually kill the seals. I checked top and bottom with the Jack fully up.
