AAC 10mm Review with Velocity Test

This is pretty good range ammo. I love how most tests of 10mm ammo, are typically from the G20. Then the tester goes into a tirade about how weak the ammo is, without ever mentioning that the numbers on the box are for 5 in barrels, not 4.6"!

For a woods/black bear pistol, I'm currently trying to decide between the Sig P320 XTEN, and the discontinued Springfield XD-M OSP 10mm 4.5" Threaded (5.3" barrel length). Those are the only two TRUE full size 10mm pistols, that seem like theyd be okay to CC. I currently have a Gen 4 Glock 40, and a bunch of of really heavy 10mm 1911's. The G40 is really only suitable fir chest carry, or OWB carry.

Ya a sig x-ten for my body size would be tough to conceal AIWB which is how I prefer. But open carry with a jacket is completely doable as CC

Nice test and ammo. Not full power but more powerful than most range ammo out there.

Yeah, it's quite hard to find the full power stuff at the decent price as some others...I suppose for target and practice, the non-full power will be okay, and then when you want full power, buy a few boxes of those for when you feel like shooting it. Definitely though should go with full power if you're using it for hunting.

Thank you for the review. It would be good to see some 25 yard benchrest groups. Did you find it accurate?

That I will start doing--the bench rest accuracy tests and not free handing it, good feedback from my viewers about that. I am sure it's pretty accurate, I haven't had any issues with such large groups.

@58Alpha so I got them, shot for accuracy, and ran some over the chronograph. Accuracy is outstanding, and 5 shot average was a little over 1200 fps. This is the best deal going on 10mm. I'm gonna order some more, and store my reloading components. Thank you.

The Sig Sauer P320 X-Ten has a 5" barrel

@@58Alpha I'm waiting for Sig to come out with a Double Stack 5" barrel 10mm. I heard they were working on one. 10mm pickings are slim right now. I own a Gen 4 Glock 40 MOS, with an Olight Baldr Pro R. I'm a big guy, but I'm not sure it would be comfortable to CC appendix carry that behemoth while hiking to a camping spot. The Glock 20 barrel is a bit short for my taste. The S&W M&P 2.0 still has reliability problems. Springfield used to make an XDM Elite 10mm with a 5.25" barrel, but they discontinued it. I can't even find one used on GunBroker. Springfield still offers a bunch of 10mm pistols, but I believe 4.5" is the max barrel length.

Well, sig does make a double stack 5" barrel 10mm, it's called the Sig Sauer P320 X-Ten! It's the gun in this video, you'll love it. @@DDDYLN

@@58Alpha how reliable is the Sig X-Ten 10mm? This is the type of pistol I'm looking for, assuming it's actually reliable. I already have a double stack 1911 10mm that won't feed. I like Glocks and Springfield XDMs, because they seem to work great out of the box (even though I can't stand Glock ergonomics).
