अश्विन का जाना भारतीय क्रिकेट और टीम के लिए बहुत ही घाटे का सौदा रहेगा। अश्विन जैसा स्पिन बॉलर और टीम के लास्ट के बल्लेबाजों में ऐसी बल्लेबाजी में करने वाला बैट्समैन नहीं मिलेगा। अश्विन को जो स्थान और खेलने का मौका टेस्ट में मिलना चाहिए था, उतना नहीं मिला, अपनी अपेक्षा के कारण ही अश्विन इतनी जल्दी टेस्ट क्रिकेट से अलविदा हो रहे हैं। भारतीय क्रिकेट को इसकी सजा जरूर बहुतही पड़ेगी।

Ashwin is very lucky to play 106 test matches. A guy who has never picked a 5 wkt haul in sena countries after playing 14-15 years of test cricket is damn lucky. If you look at the past indian spinners all of them have at least few 5 fors in sena..Chandrashekhar, Kumble, Harbhajan but not Ashwin. In India he was lucky to get extremely spin friendly wkts in the last 10-15 years as India started preparing more spin friendly and result oriented wkts which helped him to pick lot of wkts at a low average.
