Aaliyah and Kelly were not suppose to speak on each other or the marriage publicly for legal reasons. I thought true fans did their research and that you won't keep finding interviews to see if she shared the trauma. The most we got is from Damon, saying she told him to leave it alone and that he was a bad man. So she didn't even go in details with her own boyfriend. If she was still alive, maybe by now she would've opened up. But we have enough evidence from what Kelly has done to other women and girls to know what happened. I just hate that Aaliyah's own shady uncle trusted Kelly with her and Aaliyah's parents trusted the uncle to look out for Aaliyah and her career almost went to turmoil because of that and eventually cut short due to her uncle's negligence. I blame him at the top of the list because that's her family and he should've been more aware and overprotective instead of being business minded only.

I I have to say I think maybe they should have let Aaliyah wait just a little longer I think Aaliyah was too desperate and rushed to get in the entertainment industry but her parents gave her a lot of freedom which was good but when you're so desperate to do something you kind of get in twine with the wrong people don't get me wrong Kelly is talented but you know and from the other interviews him and her mom had relations so I really feel sorry for Aaliyah's dad cuz Kelly was messing with his daughter and his wife

How the amazing MJ, beautiful & fierce Beyoncé, quick footed James Brown, & etc are to some...Aaliyah is all of that for me (edit: not to be confused w/ idolizing) I will always be a fan. I can barely go a day w/o listening to her. I still feel some kind of way when one of her movies come on. Her smile, silliness, & humility was so inviting & trusting. A sight for sore eyes she was. I also admire how grateful & thankful she always was to be doing what she was doing. Always smiling & ready to take a pic or sign an autograph. Her voice is like that beautiful hummingbird sitting in the tree that sweetly wakes you out your sleep. There’s a lot of wonderful artist that came before her, during her era, & after, but yet no one can sing to me the way Liyah can. I thank the Lord above & then her parents, & also Rashad for blessing us with Aaliyah. I love you, AALIYAH (pronounced Ah-Lee-Yah)
