One of the most stunning songs of the 21st century... and it was written by a metal band. Pure genius, as Elton John himself admitted.

Nice Reaction! A few years ago Miley Cyrus was going to cover this song for her album she was working on and her Producer wanted to have the intro and outro with a piano instead of guitar like Metallica, so he contacted Elton John to do it , which he did. Then Miley, with Metallica, were on the Howard Stern show singing this song and Elton zoom called in and told them that this is one of the best songs ever written. James was visibly shaken by Elton's kind words.

"White Queen" by Queen at the Hammersmith Odeon is a fabulous live performance. Also you should look for Roy Orbison and kd lang singing "Crying"! That song is about suicide tho. His mom was in a cult that refused treatment to cancer so he watched her slowly die when he was 16. His father left them when he was 13 & they were robbed before writing fade to black among the stolen things was an amplifier his mom had bought for him a memory of her that was lost and brought back all the pain of his childhood. The lyrics match the thoughts and steps taken to self end.

One thing Hetfield doesn't get enough credit for is his singing with his guitar playing. If they mirrored each other, it would be easy. Little did Metallica know that hiring a new producer would be a game changer. 🙄 Bob Rock was the guitarist for The Payola$, before their breakup. He wrote songs with singer Paul Hyde, who was born in London, UK 🇬🇧. Paul Hyde is underrated in the USA 🇺🇸 but popular in Canada 🇨🇦 in the 1980s. BR also was the engineer for the late Bruce Fairbairn, RIP. They worked as a duo in Vancouver, Canada 🇨🇦 Their clients include Prism, Loverboy, Bon Jovi, Motley Crue, Aerosmith. Bob Rock engineered Whitesnake. He, parted ways with Fairbairn. Then he became the new producer for The Cult. In the same year, 1991, BR produced The Cult, he produced the self-titled Metallica album. This song is 1 of the hits. As you have analyzed, James Hetfield has the rasp and belts. Bob Rock worked him to achieve these. 😃 What helped BR was that he also worked with David Foster, who was born and raised in nearby Victoria, BC. Aside. Bob Rock, David Foster, late Bruce Fairbairn, Jim Vallance and Bryan Adams knew each other back in the late 1970s. In the 1989s, Vancouver became the most popular metro area for recording in Canada 🇨🇦 because of hit records from the aforementioned men. Back to Metallica. Orchestration in this song was from the late Michael Kamen, RIP. In the same year, he, Mutt Lange and Bryan Adams wrote Everything I Do I Do It for You. Number 1 song on the 1991 Billboard Charts. 🏆 You will notice a difference in singing technique from James Hetfield before 1991 than with Bob Rock and other producers. Feel free to compare songs from the 2 eras. Opinion. I prefer Unforgiven over Nothing Else Matters.

What next? So I would like to recommending Queensryche's Silent Lucidity. Sung by the Geoff Tate. A classical trained Voice. And probably the greatest Vocalist of the past 500 Year's.....some say... It's a Song about lucid dreaming. Or just a Lullaby? Absolutely Master Lyrics here! (Don't miss the hint at the End of this Song!) Background Music was made by Micheal Kamen! This song also was nominated for the Grammy award. And there's so much more about this beautiful Song to talk about. But first I would like to know what you think about it. Next logical step would be Queensryche - Take hold of the Flame. Live in Tokyo from 1984! Geoff Tate shows off what he's able to do with his Voice. This e5 Note he's singing here is just out of this World! This is how an e5 should be sound and Sing! Never ever heard something like this! Unbelievable good. Geoff Tate in his prime was unmatched and untouched at this time! Suite Sister Mary from Operation Livecrime is also fantastic and unbelievable well done. It's a Duet with Pamela Moore. From their 1988 Concept Release 'Operation Mindcime.' The greatest Album of all time. No doubt. I will remember live at MTV unplugged should be next.

Why this album got/gets so much hate is beyond me. Are their earlier albums better? Of course. But this album is still legendary. It has some absolutely amazing songs and heaviness. All the older heads who were around during their 80s run will say it's because it wasn't thrash anymore and went to commercial and blah blah blah. Who cares. It's a solid album. Maybe it's just because it's how I was introduced to Metallica so maybe I'm just being biased. But after discovering all of Metallicas albums, I definitely 100% agree their previous albums were way better. But that doesn't make this album shit just based on that. I personally like puppets and justice the best. I think that's when they were at their peak. Justice is a banger. I always hear how great their first 3 albums are. And they are good, but kill em all to me was just so elementary compared to their later stuff. Honestly out of their first 4 albums, kill em all is the album I revisit the least.

Hello Aaliyah, I'm not going to watch Metallica, so I can't comment on your video, but as I am a sub to your channel when I saw this I thought "Oh, Aaliyah, I must tell her abou her, she'll love her!" ... Love whom? I'm talking about Isyana Sarasvati, 29, from Indonesia who for me is THE musical discovery of '22 ('20 was Angelina Jordan and '21 was Diana Ankudinova...) and currently all over my place... Isyana is not only a great singer (trained in classical opera...) but a complete artist, a fascinating and thrilling musical genius. Not only does she master several instruments (piano, she started as a classical concert pianist, electone, flute, saxophone and more), but also a songwriter, composer, arranger and producer with her own label, and an incredibly versatile musical chameleon who does everything from opera to speed metal, sometimes within one song, but never randomly for effect, but to express her ideas and emotions and she does it all with grace and ease... I'm quite sure you will be really excited about what you're going to experience if you follow my invitation: Wonderful music beyond genres, true art in every respect of the performance and a great voice! For a start: Try "Lexicoustic", that's a semi acoustic live performance in seven episodes of the seven songs on her great album "Lexicon". The setting is a classy old theatre, her musicians here are "The Tuttis" who are not usually a band, so you won't find them without Isyana, but all of them are highly skilled and asked session musicians, so you would find them, one by one, on many Indonesian music productions, Isyana had been working with them since 2016. Additionally for this performance she uses a string quartet that was put together for this occasion, one of them is a principal at Jakarta Opera House... Top notch musicians all of them and Isyana is their queen, she shines like a diamond in this surrounding and arrangement. All seven episodes are quite different in mood, tempo and genre, but it all comes together beautifully. On some songs Isyana will sing and play the piano, on others only sing, in ep. 6 you'll get to hear her play the flute as well... Also the musicians are sometimes changing roles, the drummer may become a lead vocalist, or the guitarist sing a beautiful duet with Isyana... For me this is music as good as it can get and even a little better, it's so refreshing and surprising... - Don't miss Isyana, she will enrich and inspire a musicians life for sure, and especially when you're an opera singer... That's why I had to come here and tell you... To close the circle: I mentioned Isyana does metal too, if you like that you may listen to her song "Lexicon" in a different arrangement with the metal band "Deadsquad" after getting to know the acoustic version - these guys really can play and growl, the guys on the double drum kits are insane, and it really is an interesting contrast to Isyana's angelic voice, but I personally prefer by far the Lexicoustic version, or the album version which is somewhere in the middle... Have a great day and enjoy it! LEXICOUSTIC Ep. 1 - LEXICON | Isyana Sarasvati & The Tuttis kzbin.info/www/bejne/eV7YfXSYmpWKjtU

Either way, once you're through with Lexicoustic, don't miss to watch her Music Video for "ragu Semesta" - that's one of the songs she rearranged for Lexicoustic (ep, 3), I loved it there and on the album (there's a full album stream of "Lexicon" on the channel of Sony Indonesia), but I discovered the Music Video only yesterday, it's hilarious! I almost fell out of my bed laughing... exactly my kind of humor! As a performer yourself you need to watch this, and I would love to see your reaction to it, how you would relate to the video... here it is: Isyana Sarasvati - ragu Semesta (Official Music Video) kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4awanSOfNWXppo Enjoy!

@@AaliyahCapili oh, I'm so excited right now! What is your other Isyana reaction? Is it up already? Did I miss it? I'll browse your channel... However I'm happy to hear you'll be getting into Lexicoustic as well, for me these are some of her most beautiful recordings... Have a great day and enjoy it, thanks for answering! Peace and love from Bavaria 💗💗💗
