To clean that anchor chain rent a car, find a remote gravel road, tie the chain to the bumper and drag it for a couple miles. Change ends and drag it back. Should look pretty good.

Wow. I admire your spirit and would love such an adventure. However...I am a tad anal about preparation. Buying a boat, sight unseen, throwing bottom paint on and splashing it for the first time in 6 years would drive me nuts. I breathed a sigh of relief seeing you had her re-rigged. I've seen other sailors take 2 years to prep such a boat. Take care you guys!

Hi +Michael Kallelis :) It would drive us nuts too! I didn't film a lot of the work, including new sails, replacing the through-hull fittings, overhauling the engine, servicing everything, etc. Happy New Year :D

Waki Siffredi Hey Waki! It took us about 2 months to prepare the boat for the sail home to Australia. Much of the work was done by ourselves, and living aboard helped! :)

Well Cudos to you, what a wonderful adventure you have in front of you. I wish that I had done it when I was your age. If you didn't do it now you would probably never have done it and regretted it all your life. Once you settle down to having children and a mortgage you can virtually say thats it, strap me down put a gun to my head and leave me for 40 to 60 years. I love the way these KZbinrs float the dream, we quit our jobs and bought a boat. The question is what kind of jobs afford these people at their age the ability to buy a 120,000 dollar yacht? That's about the least expensive one on Yacht World. Also no information as to how they paid for it. Cash? financed? parents money? Just curious, because most of the people they are influencing aren't able to do this.
