@ericschminke82332 жыл бұрын
@owningall I'm soft? Let's see how "soft" I am. I was a fan of a baseball team that had a whopping 5 winning seasons over the last 34 years they played at Municipal Stadium. (1965, 1968, 1976, 1981 (By all of 1 game.), and 1986). I was a fan of a team that, during that 34-year period, finished last 8 times and finished higher than 4th just once. (3rd in 1968) The Indians didn't see post-season play for 40 years, so cheer up Mariners fans. It could've been much worse. If you, your family, and friends like "Guardians" then that's your right, but I don't, and neither do countless others. I hate political "correctness" and always will. If anyone's "soft", it's the hypersensitive p. c. fanatics who have tried to siphon the fun and enjoyment out of life for countless people who meant no harm and have left comparable numbers on edge for fear that even a compliment will be considered "insensitive". The 2022 baseball season produced several wonderful memories. Perhaps chief among them was Aaron Judge smacking an AL record-setting 62 homeruns. I'm very happy for Judge, and I'm no Yankees fan. This post is much longer than planned, so I must sign off.

Aaron deserves the MVP. With pitchers using technology to recreate 99 MPH two seamers and sinkers, and In a year where offense is down league wide (to the point that MLB is changing the rules to input more offense), Aaron puts a 60+ HR season and is that much ahead of the league in almost every offensive category, including the new-ish nerdy ones. Agree but there are people out there who literally think Ohtani should get it every year because of the two way game. Vladdy got hosed last year and it wouldn't shock me to see judge lose it, even if he wins the triple crown. H should be going for his scond MVP but there is anti Yankees bias as well. Ohtani stole ROY in 2018 even though he missed hallf of the season, beting out Andujar and Gleybor. Mattingly was hosed in 1986 because they gave it to Clemons, a pitcher. yt in 1978 wouldn't give it to Guidrey because he's a pitcher and they had the Cy Young. Rice won it in 1978. Yankees aren't loved by the national media.

THIS is the new record. There was Ruth. Then there was Maris. Now there is Judge. The others, who shall remain nameless, brought only shame to baseball.
@rubenparedes42582 жыл бұрын
It's funny because Maris himself had an asterisk when he broke the record.

Like you have a sample of his blood. Hah.
@rubenparedes42582 жыл бұрын
@@JasonGabler No I mean people thought Maris breaking Ruth's record wasnt legit because he played more games. Had nothing to do with what you're saying.

This video was the first baseball hit I've seen all season; Just don't care anymore, they're not my people and don't share my values. But you, Jomboy make it fun and make me miss it. (NEW DECLARATION) I will now get my baseball fix through JOMBOY MEDIA

Wow, what an improbable double high five. Amazing.

These are the best. Love your attention to the minutiae. So much better than The Weekly Dumb.

If no one knows the story about Aaron Judge’s adoption check it out, his birth father wanted an abortion but look at him now. Amazing story!
@TheLifeOfNurse2 жыл бұрын
What's the big deal? Abortions are a net good. Just because the kid hit the genetic lotto doesn't mean the dad is a bad guy.

That is so wholesome, anyone who has played sports and had their parents support them like this get the feeling. Love to see it

My favorite part of this season is how the Yankees gave Judge a respectable contract offer, but he turned it down, bet on himself, and delivered in a way no other pending free agent has. Mad respect.
