The “Don’t Tread on Me” flag is a very important representation of American history. Nowadays, the United States is proud about its freedom - sometimes even stating that it is the freest country in the world. The Gadsden flag however, represents the time when America is in the process of fighting for its freedom. Therefore, it is a wonderful symbol of the country’s strength and willpower
@andersonprimer7 жыл бұрын
This. The Gadsden flag and the rattlesnake are old symbols that represent the ruthless American spirit and determination to protect one's values. Comes from the Revolutionary war era.
@YOSHI450R7 жыл бұрын
The militants who fought the British empire flew the Gadsden Flag they were known as the Continental Marines. It was one of America's Flags before the stars and stripes flags we are still using. The flag was also primarily used by the tea party and libertarians. The Gadsden Flag is the people's flag. Don't Tread on Me is meant to remind the governing body not to mess with the people because the people (snake) are timid until provoked and are bite is lethal. It's an amazing flag with an amazing meaning and history.

Guys, the flag he was talking about with the rattlesnake and the "Don't tread on me" slogan is called the Gadsden flag. "The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag" (Wikipedia reference)
@jesusischrist15276 жыл бұрын
Mr.Mister I just came across your comment after I just commented close to the same ... The coils representing 3 sixes and then refer to Luke 10:19 in the Bible for what Jesus says about it ... Then reference the motto devil dogs and their oohrah which was actually huerah which means evil light .. this is why they were called devil dogs ... This country is not what people think and it wasn't established for the reasons or time they think ... We've been here way before were taught in school and this is actually Babylon and the statue of liberty is the whore of Babylon ... Welcome to Babylon people ... Everyone has been lied to and it's coming out more and more everyday ... Christopher Gadsden was an illuminati satanist just like the rest of the sick people buying and selling slaves(the lost tribes) and no they were never lost they were covered up and forced out of a recognizeable state to hide the truth of how sick and horrible this worlds leaders are.. Keep sending your kids to public schools to be brainwashed because everything is all for a reason and the public schools are on a mission to rid the world of the truth - Jesus Christ!!!!! Welcome to the God less generation... I hope you all come to know and trust in Jesus Christ as your savior because He is your only chance to leave this slave trap world ... It's not about money or oil and it never was but really all over your soul and money and fame has been the number 1 tool they use backed by historical lies and irradicating Jesus to blind you from what is really happening in America... This is why all the empirical leaders are really protected under immunity because they know exactly what's going on and have been a part of it since day one which is the actual reason for taking over this country not discovering it .. it wasn't discovered but conquered in an attempt to have free rain from God's laws not tyranny... You can thank the LAWLESS ONE for this place were in... Welcome to the truth ... Take all the pieces and put them together and it's self explanatory after that .. all you need is the truth(Jesus Christ) and ask our Heavenly Father for the wisdom to see what is really going on and to try not to be a part of It... Have a good one guys and stay blessed ....

A+ , well done as always. George Jones is the "Devil" legendary country icon. Charlie Daniels another country legend (Devil went Down to Georgia) is also in the song playing the fiddle and talking at the end, and Chris Young worked on this song's composition as well. "Dont Tread On Me" is on Gadsden's flag. Positioned below a rattlesnake are the words "DONT TREAD ON ME." The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag. Its exactly how he describes it in the song. Yellow flag with a coiled rattlesnake on it and the words underneath. Keep up the great work l..l,
@Koldatt6 жыл бұрын
#lostinvegas at around 8:15 What he is referencing is the Gadsden flag, it is the yellow rattle-snake banner with the words " dont tread on me" at its base. The banner was one of the first recognized American flags during the revolt and the eventual revolution.

Yeah it really does gets a negative condonation because of Hollywood. Also, the history of it actually goes back before that. Look up Ben Franklins letter to King George III... Unfortunately, this kind of country isn't played on country radio. Have loved your country reviews. George Jones, country legend, being the 2nd voice on this song...fought alcoholism and addiction. Being coined "no show Jones" back in the day for missing shows due to drunkenness. He straightened his life up long before his death but always fought that particular demon. He was the original singer of the Chris Stapleton song that you reviewed "Tennesee Whiskey", also having a famous song called "White Lightning." The one speaking at the end is another country legend Charlie Daniels, famous for Devil Went Down to Georgia. Don't forget about the ladies of country y'all . ❤ I know those reviews are coming. It’s funny how the singers from up “north” keep the country original and the ones south have turned it into pop music, I’m from Ohio and I’ve been south plenty of times now on vacation to Florida(my mom use to live there and has family down there) and what I’ve gathered from it the people where I come from is as country as southerners or more so...
@mikefelty26257 жыл бұрын
I'm a born and raised Texan, and have met people from all over this country. One funny thing that I've noticed is that the further north you go, the more "southern" people tend to be. The exception to this is people that are from urban areas in and around most big cities. Talk to someone from a rural area of Michigan or Minnesota or even upstate New York, and may be surprised at how "country" they act. And don't even get me started on Montana or Wyoming. They may as well be considered southern states as well.

You guys are spot on. He can do any type of music and sound great. I'm more of a fan of his now that he went country then I was when he was a rock artist. I've seen him in concert 3 times and it's always worth the money. He starts his performance by having the crowd stand remove their hats and everybody says the pledge of allegiance.

Gadsden flag has a very significant meaning along with other flags during the American revolution. Hope y’all look it up! Yes the don’t tread on me is because of the rattlesnake. It’s eyes are always open. Meaning it is always vigilant against tyranny.

Richard Davis He definitely doesn't "cover" Rascal Flatts... He covers the original artist to try to do it justice because he feels Rascal Flatts ruined the song. Personally I like all 3, but honestly, Aaron puts both predecessors to shame...

Hey I'm a southern girl, about as country as they come,lol so hell yes this is one many blare on the radio in my small town, when your raised listing to Hank Williams jr, Charly Daniel's, (to name a couple) it's hard not to respect his voice, and he's lyrically genius, it's so easy to relate to what he's saying, dirt roads, that was really just your long ass drive way you had to walk every day after school, lol no really it's nice to just take the back roads home just to clear your mind, family that keeps you stronge and going, the smell of a wood stove in the morning, when you live the simple life you get to saver the little things that make life amazing, so I don't blame him for wanting to go back to his roots,

that extra voice in the song was GEORGE JONES, commonly acknowledged as the greatest to ever do it. name a chart topping country artist and their favorite country singer is likely to be george jones. also this song references several country tropes including "devil wne down to georgia" by Charlie Daniels Band when playing strings while he says the part about signing up with the devil, "country boy can survive" by hank williams jr, and finally a libertarian/conservative flag that says "dont tread on me"

This is definitely one of those songs that show up anytime my family is over and gets a hold of the sound system. I’ve heard it a million times but have never paid attention to the lyrics so I was excited to see that you did a video on it. Great work and can’t wait for the next one. Still holding out for some Alice In Chains! My vote still goes to I Know Something (Bout You) (it’s just so groovy!) or Hate to Feel (those guitar riffs!), but Love Hate Love has great lyrics and amazing vocals. Honestly I’m excited for anything

I love how you guys take time to pay attention to the lyrics. You've done a lot of react videos for bands I love. Mostly hard rock and heavy metal. Would love for you guys to switch gears into some classic alternative/ early 80s New Wave / first wave gothic rock.
