He literally wrote a hit song on the spot. He even Says himself you can see him shaking. Durst put him the spot because he liked the chords he was playing. Fucking amazing.

This is legit the greatest freestyle known to man!!!! Aaron said when Fred told him we're gonna do this the only thing written was the chorus!!!! Aaron pieced everything together live and in person to create one of the greatest songs ever!!!!

If you notice how much he's shaking, it's because he doesn't have the full song. He only had the rhythm and chorus. He's doing this on the spot.

When I first learned power chords on guitar, I learned this song. This song was the theme tune of my teen years man. Break The Cycle is one of the best albums of all time. Epiphany is one of the best tracks on that album. Check Out Can't Believe acoustic, along the same lines and it's fucking amazing!
@dirtysmity2 жыл бұрын
the story behind this song is kind of amazing.....Aaron was asked to perform a song solo and he decided at the last moment to play a song he had been working on and practicing with an acoustic side project, He finished the lyrics to "Outside" on the spot while singing the song live. Aaron has said that this song was an accidental phenomenon. this version happened one night on the Family Values Tour, ten minutes before going onstage, Staind decided to play it. There was never any thought of them releasing it in this way.

Then listen to "So Far Away" by Staind. Wow!!! "So Far Away" is already an amazing song but it will give you chills when you compare the 2 and see how far he came.

The “quality” had nothing to do with the 90s. Aaron purposely detuned his guitar in an effort to find an artistic variation. In the end, it accented his vocal genius. It is the reason this version has gotten the most views.

Of course they do. What else would you call it? I think it’s dogs#/t, it hurts my ears and is horrible but it’s still music.
@biohazard_6132 жыл бұрын
@A2K xNAVY be more specific, weren’t you taught that by your first LPO or division chief? BTW, what rating? I was EO. Tons of people disagree with me. On what? That some people call this music? On my opinion that it’s dogs#/t, that it hurts my ears, that it’s horrible? I’m going to go out on a limb and guess you’re a Staind fan? I am too. I just can’t stand this song. I have all their albums except Break the Cycle and the live albums. I avoid live albums from nearly everyone though. As for what I listen to? Pretty much everything except modern pop music and mumble rap. I’ll randomly go through my phone and post one artist from each letter and # that I have. Alcyon Massive, Big B, Crucial Conflict, DJ Magic Mike, EPMD, Falling In Reverse, Gunn Lozano, Haste The Day, Indubious, Jethro Tull, Kottonmouth Kings, Leon Patillo, Mac Dre, Newcleus, Omarr Shabazz, Paris, Queen, Ready For The World, Suga Free, Tech N9ne, Upon A Burning Body, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Whodini, Xzibit, Y&T, Zebrahead, 2 Unlimited, 3 Doors Down, 4 Non Blondes, 5 Seconds of Summer, 6lack, 9mm, 10cc, 40 Thieves, 50 Cent, 112, 311, 808 State, 911, 10,000 Maniacs. This isn’t an accurate representation of what I listen to. Since I went totally random, none of my bluegrass, blues, classical, comedy, country, jazz, spoken word, traditional folk or vocal stuff shows up. While I said that I listen to pretty much everything, to be honest, my go to genres are all forms of distorted guitar rock(punk & metal with all the hundreds of sub genres), reggae and most of the sub genres of hip hop, especially the older stuff.
