Aaron Lewis said that this song was actually never meant to be played, originally he was going to play a different acoustic song but Fred loved this song so much he asked him to sing it and said he would join him singing the chorus. If you noticed his trying not to shake because he had only performed this song once or twice and was re writing the lyrics so he was really nervous. Love this song and I actually performed this song myself at my graduation reception my parents were so overwhelmed they tried not to cry

Aaron Lewis didn’t have the whole song written, only the chorus that you hear him and Fred sing and he made the rest up on stage. That’s real talent when you can just make a hit song on the spot.

I hate this version...if people actually understand this was his first stand on his own under Fred durst but well over 20 years later aaron is one of the biggest stars in our generation and still has not made a single bad song. Where is fred?

I love this version. Who cares about Fred. The emotion and passion in this particular version is so moving and inspirational. Singing from his soul to those that hear it. Aaron’s a treasure and I hope this continues to be shared.
