While Costas's playcalling hasn't been great, imo the bigger problem is the overall broadcast itself. The questionable (or sometimes complete lack of) replay angles, the filling of time with distracting in-game interviews that no one likes, and the full on missing of outs in the game are bigger issues with these Divisional games. Can't remember which game, but in one of them, they just fully missed the first out of the 9th inning... in a tense PLAYOFF game (think it might have been one of the mets-phillies games). In my mind, the biggest sin of a sports broadcast is to not show the sports. You can mute a game if you don't like the announcers, but you can't magically see the game action if they don't show it to you.
