I'm 50. That means I watched the entirety of Brett Favre as well as the entirety of Aaron Rodgers thus far. It's so hard to call it. I love them both so much for what they brought to my life. There's also a very important factor that needs to be calculated into my decision and that is the influence Brett Favre had on Aaron Rodgers during that time they had together. I do understand Favre is on record as saying it's not his job to Mentor other quarterbacks.... But he's had some influence Aaron Rodgers if not a complete mentorship. All that being said I've been one lucky person to only have to watch two quarterbacks in 20 years captain our Green Bay Packers
@jakesheldon76373 жыл бұрын
@@Chewy_GarageBandDad Brett Favre threw 336 interceptions. Rodgers has only thrown 86. Obviously stats don’t tell the whole story but that’s a major difference between the two

@@jakesheldon7637 Yeah he was a care free gunslinger. Seemed though we cared less for the interceptions as he was converting us to that winning mindset. @@Chewy_GarageBandDad Favre himself called Rodgers the greatest of all time. It's not even close. Your opinion is colored because Favre was the one you watched earlier just as movies you watched when you were young have more impact on your life. Apples to apples, it's not close at all.
@Chewy_GarageBandDad3 жыл бұрын
Dam dude, I have not said one time Favre is better than Rogers. I WAS LITERALLY just talking about how blessed we (I) Was/ were to have 2 great quarterbacks for 30 years and highlighting why it was (at MOST MUTUALLY but NOT MORE) such an important ERA with Favre. YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE TRYING TO MAKE AN ARGUMENT HERE or think I am arguing with you.. IM NOT!!!!!!!!!!! NOONE CAN READ THE FIELD LIKE ROGERS... CANT A PERSON JUST SUGGEST ONE ERA WAS JUST AS COOL and important? I did not bring up one fucking stat or attempt to make an argument or even suggest Favre was better....or even the era was better because he wasn't and it wasn't. I even stated that you had a good stat...with the TD/IN ratio.. so wtf? Favre was not better!!! The era was not better... I'm saying I'm blessed to have seen both. FUCK, this and its not my "opinion colored because Favre was the one I watched earlier." I was born in 71 and suffered all through the 80's. Damn YOU TRIPPN. READING COMPREHENSION IS SO CRITICAL IN LIFE!! Were you there for the 80's watching them suck ass...then see Favre come on and turn the culture around?? NO! So how the fuck you know whats better? You didn't experience shit. And the TD/IN ratio is not the major difference as you suggest. As a point to not argue with you I did not call you out on that. we can talk personnel, we can talk GM's, we can talk rule change, e.g. pass catch rules, pass interference rules and how they protect the QB now. We can talk the development of free agency or GB's willingness to engage in it.. we can talk drafts... There is so much more important shit to consider than TD / IN ratio. But again, IM not arguing with you who is the better QB nor have I in anything I said. Now piss off and hey, lets get this win next Sunday. TB leads the league with QB touches with like 119, League average is 95ish... So our O-line needs to do what they do.

@@Chewy_GarageBandDad I saw enough Favre to know how you feel. He was great, too, but I feel Aaron's sustained greatness is what puts him ahead. We've only had two losing seasons in which he wasn't injured, one of those being his rookie year. If only he had a couple more rings....
@Chewy_GarageBandDad3 жыл бұрын
@@stickit2theman1 Correction 30 years. I think I would say Favre was just a special because the Packers hadn't won anything in a long time. We were a sinking ship in the NFC North and Don Makowski Magic Man was going to bring a winning culture back to the pack. Then came Favre.. this guy took his helmet off and celebrated every touchdown. He was the next stage Gunslinger who would throw an interception just as fast as he would throw a touchdown but would win games so who really cared about the interceptions LOL and then Reggie White the first huge free agent signing by Green Bay. Within four years of Favre starting we were going to the Superbowl. He made an immediate impact getting us some divisional championships as well right off that bat. With 5 teams in the division. We had to play Tampa twice a year as well. Farve changed the culture of GB. As you know it's a small market and the only team owned by "share holders" and without Brett Favre bringing that winning culture we may not have the Packers. But I understand different time different place different universe but I love Aaron Rodgers just as much and certainly enjoy sharing the the love of the pack with my son and my dad... Well let's hope for a ring this year and a ring next year. Then maybe a three-year extension. LOL He said it's all about the hardware now. #generationalpackfans all still love the Pack.

I'm still mad about last year,but we've gotten revenge on the 49ers and Rodgers is having a mvp season and were better than ever.

And his haters are calling him a choke artist....more like a clutch artist because of all the times he's come back from behind
@patrickboyce41883 жыл бұрын
He never has been a choke artist. People seem to forget that’s there’s another side of the ball during a game.
@izdabtime7103 жыл бұрын
@@patrickboyce4188 Ik, these people think that just because he makes a few throwing errors or turns it over in a game he's choke artist. Like TF?
@patrickboyce41883 жыл бұрын
@@izdabtime710 his defenses in the playoffs have almost never helped him out. With all due respect to Tom Brady, when he’s gotten off to a rough start in a playoff game, his defense has always helped him out usually. When Rodgers has had a slow start, his defense has failed to pick him up time and time again. However this time I have way more faith in them than I ever have

@@patrickboyce4188 yeah same honestly, this year is definitely out best shot at bringing back the Lombardi to its true home
