As a spartan minimalist, my goal is for my life to fit in a carry-on bag and my laptop satchel. I'm a minimalist and I live this way because I'd prefer to have more free time than money RIGHT NOW. However, I'm sure that some minimalists are living how they do as a way of deferred gratification - 'If I live cheap now then I can retire early'' kind of thing. This world is fucked and the environment in this society is sick and toxic due to the elites trying to having everyone and everything fucked off and destroyed by keeping us sheeple in-debt wage slaves. materialism and consumerism are not the same things. Materialism / materialist means that you believe that the material world is all there is; it is specifically the antonym of spiritualism / spiritualist. Consumerism is going out and buying shit / consumption based lifestyle. You are using "Materialist" when you should be using consumerist.

If you want to remain creatively occupied -- always be hustling. Example: locate a property that you can buy for a $X, inject $Y and later sell for $Z. Example, research and buy a property (raw land) for $100k, add water rights and a gravel access road $25k, survey + short plat it and resell for $400k+ The idea is to find something that has a price far lower than its value then inject some capital improvement (such as water rights, road, short plat, advertising) -- and then resell it. This is a step up from house flipping since the returns are much higher and the work is mostly mental (no heavy lifting, painting, drywall, etc). Use the proceeds for both further investments and to finance a lifestyle of travel, climbing, hiking, possibly having a number of minimalist homes across the world.

How sad is that. Work hard as a minimalist to escape the rat race and alienate women because of it, and then at the end realise that you want to go to work just because your psychology can't handle being alone and then you end up in the same spot where the materialists are, but alone and without a wife. I have to admit something here. I have been a minimalist and I have worked hard and escaped the rat race. I bought with cash my own house and the land it was on with only 30 000 € and I'm fixing it now and I'm doing a part-time job on the side and some school, but two weeks ago I got hit really hard and I have been in a middle of crisis from since. I met this one girl who I like so much and now I'm regretting all my minimalism. I just can't see a girl like her living with me in my old house, which is fine and functional, but not pretty nor modern. Before this, I thought girls like her didn't exist and due to that I pursued minimalism and self-improvement, but now I just see all that time as time wasted. Girls like her do exist but they get married so fast that they are rarely seen. All I know now is that I can't miss another opportunity anymore. I need to focus on making money, getting a career and having nice things (nice house, car and clothing), and above all, I need to focus on finding another rare girl like her. When she rejected me it just hit me so hard. I would gladly change my out of the rat race, careless life to that of a stressed-out office worker who is half a million in debt if that would mean I would get her as my wife. I thought I was clever and ahead of others but it seems I'm just a fool who has changed love for idleness, and now I'm tormented by my mistake and all the time I have has become a curse to me. Now every time I see her, her beautiful face reminds me of my incompetence as a man. I'm so afflicted and tormented - I can't see a way out. Into eternal darkness has my foolishness condemned me. Into a fiery pit has my blindness thrown me. It's so dark in here that my heard cries all the time and my flesh burns from the flames of my understanding. I'm a goner - I can hear the footsteps of death on my door.

Hahaha never make money to please a woman. Yeah get a career, work 10 years, invest 50% of your income minimum in index funds. Career meaning 150k+ / year minimum. Over 10 years should give you $1M (conservatively adjusting for less than the average return) and withdrawing 40k a year to blow WITHOUT touching principal. Then you work part time online making 50k a year freelancing with your career skills (because not doing shit is boring) and blow that. $90k a year to BLOW = becomes a player. Use your minimalist skills to accumulate till you dont need to. Be a man. Stay in shape, keep good health, and fuck around. Do whatever the fuck you want to do. Dont take anyone's shit. Never go back to this pussy ass mentality again.

Have some gratitude and take inventory for what you do have.. if your house is paid off you have nothing to worry about, and if the woman sees you in her future shes gonna be there for it. If you love her, give her some space and see what she does, females hate vying for attention no matter how many assets you have. Get on your grind and take time to remember the time it took to build your legacy. Take inventory and embrace the abundance in your life, the universe will take care of the rest

Dude come on, life isn't that bad. Look, you're doing well with the minimalism thing, keep that up. But along the way don't be afraid to talk to girls - be friendly (not creepy) and open minded. And while you meet new women, you screen them simultaneously to see what they're values are like. As a minimalist, you'd want a gal that values modesty, humility, etc. These women are one in a dozen, but they're out there. And the more you stick to your principles, the more you will screen out the wrong ones and attract the right one!
