My analysis is Paradox's style has changed a lot due to his injury. SDF 2019 Paradox was just getting over the injury and developed his flow and concepts a LOT more. He still had his groove and footwork but he had to dance different due to the injury and cause he was wearing socks more. But now that he's healed and dancing in shoes again, it's like he meshed his 2016 style with his 2019 style. And got this groove and footwork heavy style with a flow to match melodies and smooth portions of the track and concepts to play with. His 2019 SDF rounds were more concept heavy and musicality heavy. If you go and watch all of them...I personally think they were better than his 2022 rounds. His rounds this time were more rhythm heavy over anything. Which is good but the only issue is when nobody's connected to that rhythm the round is visually appealing due to variations and dope concepts but it seems like he's not as in it as the music calls for. This is the case for any rhythm heavy dancer...if nobody's really connected to or feeling your base rhythm and they can't digest the rhythm changes you're utilizing then the rounds end up looking nice but feeling a bit disconnected. I think that's what Paradoxs rounds in this particular battle represented. He had dope moments in them of course but that's due to labbing different concepts. Alex has always had that kind of "Couldn't care less" attitude in his rounds. Alex's technique is on point but I genuinely just think he doesn't care to get IN the music. I think the main difference is I think Paradox almost prides himself on being vulnerable in his dance(this is my interpretation). Wheras Alex doesn't give af about that. So that makes Paradox easier to connect to IF Alex isn't on his A game. Alex can win without being vulnerable, we all know this. The only issue is that in this particular battle when Alex is only on top of the music and not caring to be vulnerable or go layers deep into it...then it makes Paradox look way better cause even if his rounds weren't amazing he's still going to give you feeling. He's still going to give you vulnerability. He's still going to go deeper in the music. He's still going to give you intensity. These things alone would sway most people's bias to Paradox. Looking at it objectively, I think Paradox got that with rhythm changes and variations alone. Ngl I expected more from both of them this battle. Paradox snapped many times this event but I still prefer his 2019 SDF rounds even though at first I would've said the opposite. Alex just doesn't seem to care enough to go stupid like that.

Paradox definitely provided more life into his dance, but I also believe dancers feed and respond to one another. Because Alex was flat, Paradox didn't go to where he could have. He only did what was needed to beat Alex, and easily. Alex needs to work on his delivery. The technique is there, but the "life" isn't. He dances like he's in the dance studio practicing in the mirror, and that's why it's hard for me to get into him.

Paradox always do what’s needed in order to defeat his opponent. He basically matches the energy of the dancer that’s how humble he is against rubix the crowd we’re enjoying rubix big moves so paradox turned up a little bit as well. But in the final he didn’t hold back at all lol

This is what I been recently sayin, like for me Alex and Les Twins are 2 sides of the same coin. They the opposite of each other, Alex is true to the hiphop foundation but lacks character, while Les Twins has the character but not true to the foundation. And what you said about Alex practicing in the mirror is exactly my thoughts, for me Alex is so good to the point that he can calculate every move in his rounds which reminds me of a robot and for me is the cause of his lack of character or "delivery". Paradox been always my favourite because he's somewhere between that coin, he has the character and true to the foundation.

I like how experienced dancers love to show the music with technique and actual dancing but eventually you have to elevate your style and vocabulary just bc. If you are already elite in your own creation then you have a wealth of tome to work on creativity and power moves. It’s not about winning but your legacy cannot be compromised bc of the times or athleticism. Alex could def beat paradox but Alex energy and creativity lacks in this era of dancing. Especially hip hop when the focus is literally IMO on being really athletic and adding power moves and creativity but mostly athleticism. God Bless
