Glad you got the N1 neck before they closed! I love mine!

I actually wish they had made a neck inbetween the N1 and the N2! It’s sad that they closed.

@@aaronshortmusic youngster! At 68, I’ve got tendinitis / neuropathy, in my left thumb, from hitting 3 million golf balls. The bigger neck on the 12 string gets the pain going after 20 minutes, but I can play the N1 for 40 minutes, without any truly ill effects. I have a 60 minute gig coming up, (with acoustic lead guitar, and harmonica). I like to give the audience different tones, so I don’t put them in a trance. So, I will play 7 songs on the 6 string, 4 on 12 string, and 3 on slide resonator. I played the whole show in practice, last night, and by the last 12 string song, my thumb was barking at me! Playing slide on the last 3 makes sure I can finish the show! Love your content, and your passion for music! Keep it up! Yes, having RainSong close makes it difficult for me to buy another guitar… Dave quoted me on building an 8 string,(octaves on the D and G), and I was considering it… nothing really checked all the boxes the way RainSong did… 😞

gosh on a rainy day like today I sure could use a rainsong to be able to play outside especially in winter/fall/spring in the pnw. just don't have the money to get all the guitars, yet!

Don’t you live close to Rainsong? You should check them out!

I was thinking the new guitar would be a Rainsong, but I wouldn't have guessed the model. New gigging guitar for you? Look forward to the future in depth review and updates.

Thanks David. This model just appealed to me and I have wanted to try the N1 neck for a long time. This may be my favorite Rainsong yet!

I was thinking to get another Rainsong, this one seemed promising.. but after hearing this video l find that it lack the deep smooth bass l was hoping it would have. Carbon guitars simply are very crystaline in tone..very bright and almost edgy. The one l bought was a uni-directional topped Jumbo. It's a big guitar but it is the best tone l have found listening to the different demo clips of the various models. Most agree carbon lack a certain warmth that is found in wood guitars and my jumbo is not an exception but it's just better than most. It has no electronics so right now l am considering a Hyvibe system to drop in this guitar.. it will be interesting to see if it allows you to give a lil earth though the EQ. I appreciate your demo! Your playing is awesome, Thank you!

Love my Rainsong. I have the Hybrid WS 12 fret. Carbon top w hybrid BS, with the factory Anthem. It is a great guitar. Actually got rid of my McPherson CF guitar, which I never bonded with, and got this one. I’ve also owned a CA and I’ve enjoyed both of the Rainsongs I’ve owned a great deal. The first one I owned came in a gigbag and I thought the dealer had forgot to put the guitar in the box because it was so light.

Nicely done! I’m very interested in seeing how you upgrade the electronics, I have one of these too and also an older WS3000 N1 that could probably use an upgrade.
@aaronshortmusic2 жыл бұрын
I’ll make the video soon. It’s easier to go from the Element to the Anthem. If you have a Fishman preamp then it may need extra modification.

Can you compare the new N1 neck on the Rainsong with a Martin neck? How different, if at all, is it compared to the Martin Performing Artist neck?
@aaronshortmusic2 жыл бұрын
I will do! N1 Vs N2 Vs Martin.

Love the sound of this guitar. Prefer it to the Martin you played yesterday! Where can I buy it? Can you please give me a link. Thanks for showing this Carbon Fibre Guitar.

Aaron, how is it that you don’t have a review of the ToneWoodAmp? Was curious to get your take.

I tried one years ago but wasn’t patient enough to leave it running for the recommended time. I may look into it in the future!

@@aaronshortmusic leave it running? Are we talking about the same thing? I don’t think you have to leave anything running with it. Appears it will get pretty instant results
@aaronshortmusic2 жыл бұрын
@@EJH-jn6mo Oh my bad. That’s the ToneRite. Yes I have tried the ToneWood amp at NAMM. My thoughts are that it’s a great idea but you have to add it to the guitar and at the end of the day a good pickup through good effects pedals and amps sounds much better. I would like to try one out at home before making my final judgement though!

Do you like the N2 neck? I have very small hands and I'm worried that it's going to be difficult to play on that neck.

I don’t mind it but I prefer the N1. I wish they had made a neck inbetween the two.

I have one of the older 12-string versions. Took 18 months of searching the forums before one came up for sale. Glad Dave at Rainsong has figured out how to put an N1, N2, NS, or 12-string neck on any body. Here is my 12: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fV6yoYNjiraoqLs
