So Continuing on the Vauxhall Astra Gsi Opc Restoration, i decided to completely strip the sealer and underseal off the body and came across rust, this was treated properly and getting it prepared for paint

Aaron Unknown Funny thing is mine was build in Belgium, the Astra of my dad was build in Bochum, and his is Rust Free. Just like the calibras, if you get a Finnish build one they are rust free

@aaron unknown how are you gonna replicate the thickness of the oem seam sealer across the chassis rails ? Planning to do my own zafira gsi but I’ll only be going at the parts that are bad so would like to ideally replicate the finish to match it back up , I’ve got tetrysol brush on myself

The chassis legs didn’t have sealer they had a Shultz rubber covering. Im going to use epoxy primer and then use sealer in a tube

I'm doing the same thing under my astra estate but it's just gonna be black. I I haven't gone all out like you with the cleaning. I think my neighbours are getting pissed off with me lol
