NEW ENGINE STARTING PROBLEMS! Opel Astra Gsi Z20let Restoration

Well the restoration rebuild of the Opel Holden Chevrolet Astra GSI Z20let is getting close to being started, engine has good oil pressure and compression, just a few last bits to finish off, then its respray time. but first there is starter motor problems that need fixing..

Hi Aron. Loving your content. There’s always something new to learn from you. Just a question. You have the famous turkey sound on gear change. I’ve always heard that no good for the turbo. I had that sound when the hoses to the dv were connected incorrectly. I’m sure that’s not your case. Is it because you have a strong dv spring? If so which one/combination of colors do you use? Which one do you recommend for a k06 hybrid stage 4-4.5 astra h? Thanks

Quick question Aaron, you’re turning the engine over with out pistons in to get the oil circulating, if you don’t have the spark plugs in will that Have the effect of producing no compression to turn the turbo and no pulling oil into the bearing? Just wondering. Car look mint by the way.

that has be the best looking mk4 gsi in the uk ....looks flawless... could i ask u were u got the copper crush washers on the sandwich plate for the oil feed and return, one of my pipes is leaking tried 2 or 3 diff ones and keeps letting tiny drops of oil past the washer...not even tried the stealer dealers as they prob wont sell them on there own.

Let us know how you get on with Direnza - finish is quite good BUT I had running issues - would not flow properly , sent two back , they ended up ignoring me so I sold it went to OE as advised by engine builder and mapper - keep an eye on temps mate .

Hi there I'm in Australia I'm intrested buying a 2003 astra sri turbo . The owner s said it had a head gasket issue, Now he saying it needs an NEW oil cooler. But in sales add he says he done a timing belt and oil switch. Wouldn't the mechanic notice it need an oil cooler.👍💯🤔 plus did they ever come out with FACTORY 3 way sunroof ???🤔🇦🇺👍 or his lying or was it DEALER fitted accesory.
