I did exactly the same ironically... an identical black 60 plate Ford Focus Zetec-S 1.6 TDCi that's belonged to our family for 8 years got written off by a careless woman in a brand new range rover. We bought it back from the insurance very cheaply and I bought a donor car, black 09 plate focus titanium for £350 with a snapped timing belt. A few days work and I had swapped the doors, bumpers, interior and steering wheel and the car looked absolutely immaculate. I Saved our focus from the scrapyard and I still feel proud. It's a shame you aren't based in the North, I would have gladly given you the donor car with our previous interior (nothing wrong with it, the donor cars was a bit nicer) and it had a black bootlid with spoiler and trim. I did consider trying to fix the donor car engine but it had 170k miles on it and I had no idea of what damage the engine had in it.

Nice job guys! This car cleaned up real real nice! This looks like an almost brand new car. Now that most of this generation Ford Focus cars are old, ragged and worn out, most people have forgotten how contemporary and nice these cars were when they were new. And this one is overall quite well fitted out for an affordable car. I am glad you guys took on this car. And what is quite telling is all the attention to the little tiny details all over the car that you double check and cleaned up and repaired. You two really do top drawer work. This is definitely not a slap-dash quickly job and cheapie get it out the door for quickie flip car. Again, nice work. I note Kris (your partner, sorry about the spelling if I am wrong) has been a whole lot more visible and chatty in these videos of this car than any of your others. Is he getting more comfortable being on camera or is he really happy and proud of what all you’ve accomplished on this car? He definitely deserves a specific shout out for what he has done with you on this car.
