@5:47 You doing your thing. The kiddo doing his thing. Just two guys working on a car together, making a mess and having fun. But you're still Daddy, and that glance over to check on him... I can't explain why, but that made a real impression on me. I do that with my kiddo when she's helping me with a project. I REALLY enjoy seeing your kids in there helping. A family that works together, stays together. I've had my young one under our motorhome running the jack while I was running the hoist, pulling the transmission out the front of the rig. She did great! Folks don't realize just how capable their kids are, or how much they learn from doing this with us.

Derek - PLEASE do a video about upgrading an old single phase brake system [in cars built before the late 60's] to a modern dual phase sytem. So many people buy classic cars, get them running well and never think about modernizing the brakes. I have heard horror stories about people who spend a lot of money on a classic car and drive it, only to find themselves owing a pile of scrap after the old single phase brakes fail and they wreck the car. I really want to know how to modernize an old brake system! Thanks.

Keep em coming. I'm loving the Betty White Cadillac. I had a 69 Sedan Deville, same color. Got mine in 1978 from the original owner, Arkansas car, so no rust. She was great, and I should have treated her better, but as a teenager in the day, every car I had got dual exhaust, and had to stand up to drag racing as well as being a nice going to town rig. She passed the test. Not so good for road racing though. First time I was road racing to town, I discovered corners I took easily at 60 mph in my Firebird, didn't work out so well in the Caddy. Tires were pointed in the right direction, but the Cadillac kept going straight for the most part. Thankfully I didn't hit anyone and her racing was restricted to drag racing, she was strong and did well. Loved the old girl.

I think it’s so cool that your son is working with you. Reminds me of working with my dad when I was about his age. Great memories!! Thanks 😊

My dad basically gave me the exact same advice, go slow, lay things out and take a picture if you can. I was working on drum breaks when I was in high school.

Not a day has gone by, in 25 years in the construction biz, have I NOT used a vice grip. Whether it was in the form of a needle nose, standard curved jaw, straight jaw, or C-Clamp. Those things were 5 bucks or less when I started, but the true "Vice Grip" brand has gone up to over $20 for some of the models today. What are they, "Irwin" brand or something now?
