Derek, my dad worked in a used car garage, in the 1950s. He used a trick on the white walls that always worked beyond belief. You already use the blue SOS Pads... Now soap-up the white walls, off the car. Then put the wheels in the sunshine for several hours (with the soap on the white walls). Then wash off the soap - you won't believe how good they look!! Thanks for your tips and tricks.

Derek - Loved your choice of name for the ole Caddy of "Betty White"! We always name our vehicles so don't stomp the action assimilator to the floor every time it may stumble. Had a 1998 Windstar and named him Whitey Ford, after the famous NY Yankee Pitcher. No-frickin-body gonna tell a man what or what not he can name his car I always say!!!

Hi, top tip for the white walls, use white spirit, brings them up like new, go easy though don't wipe all the white off.!!

These cars had dignity, class and style. They made you feel special, presidential, gliding down the road (you just don’t feel bumps in those cars). Love old Cadillacs. My grandfather had a 1966 Cadillac Calais and riding in that land yacht as a kid was just so magical.

2 videos for my Sunday!! This one took me back to my single digit years. Every Saturday my dad and I would wash the cars and my main job was cleaning the white walls with a brillo pad. He would throw on some CCR and off we go. Then we would go get lunch together. Good memory's!! Safe travels to you and your family.......

After following along during sick wk. and not seeing auto rejuvenations for a spell, kind of forgot what a great laugh I get from your humor & antics. I did the right thing and started watching this one whilst eating dinner. Great entertainment Derek!

Not on a Caddy, they had specific weights. The rim clip is longer and hugs the rim so the lead is inboard of the hubcaps fingers.

Please take us with you on the Tour. I am calling it now, you are not going to have a problem on the PT with the Cadillac. This will show how good Cadillac really is. Wish you could have put a patch in the lower fenders.

Great job. My dad was a Mechanic when I was growing up and I remember cruising in these beasts. So smooth and so much leg room. My OCD can't get over those rust holes though. I would just take some sheet metal cut to size zeus them in and hit with some paint as a temporary fix until a proper restoration could be done.

I agree 100%. Tack weld a piece of body metal over the holes and spray some white over it.. For the soft trans fluid pan and base pan, put fiberglass filler over it until he comes across new pans
