@Make Me Believe Well yeah, I'm in the process of a nut and bolt restoration on a '75 Gremlin... I'll never make my money back. But it won't make the finished product any less valuable than it is right now. I can hang on to it and easily get $10k for it in 40 years. Valuable to whoever buys it, considering I only paid $1,800 for the whole car in the first place.

Love your guys show and Christian witness. I worked for AMC during the years of the Pacer. It seemed that Pacers were all we worked on but thinking back that was all that was selling. I loved driving them. I was a front end mechanic and rebuilt a lot of rack and pinion units, that was a weak spot. When you had to add power steering fluid it reminded me of that. They made a seal kit with new bushings for the unit. Was a little bit of a job but the kit fixed the problem. I am not wishing that on you but might keep that in mind. From a front end standpoint the lower A frame adjusters were bad about wearing out too. But you got bigger problems before you have to worry about any of that. I would love to have a nice Pacer in my drive just to cruse around in on Sunday afternoons. Keep up the good work.

This car is a classic, the value of AMC Pacers is going up. They were fun little cars, please remember they were Americans first wide small compact car. The 258 straight 6 is one of the all time most reliable engines ever made. It's too bad that the dash and wiring is all tore out, That will be a big job getting that back together. I can't wait to see this all power washed! This car deserves to be fully restored.

Good job guys. Two of my relatives bought new 1977 and 1978 pacers. By 1981, long before the Michigan rust could kill them, they both had suffered serious electrical and mechanical problems. One eventually died due to dust inhalation because a mechanic forgot the second air cleaner cover wingnut. Eventually everyone ran out of money to keep them on the road. Pacers were junk then and as we know now, they were a joke.

My uncle had a '75 Pacer. Those AMC engines took Champion N-12Y (now RN-12YC) plugs back in the day. I'm a longtime AMC fan; we had several of them: '62 Rambler Classic station wagon, '68 Ambassador DPL 4-door sedan, '74 Hornet 4-door sedan.

@Make Me Believe The Pacer was supposed to have a Wankel rotary engine, which is why the hood opens the way it does. That didn't pan out, so they shoehorned a 232 six into the engine compartment. Pulling an engine out of a Pacer is a royal pain.

Looks and beauty are definitely in the eyes of the beholder. This AMC would make a better 4x 4 than a car. These motley looking things will sit down perfect on a 4 x 4 Chevy K-5 Blazer chassis, same wheel base, my friend built one years ago, The transmission hump is even in the right place. With a set of good off road tires, looks like you have a perfect candidate to make something wild that will attract a lot of attention for all the right reasons.

First thing I noticed, and I may be alone here, but it's missing that beautiful AMC dash that every AMC had LOL. My grandfather had a gremlin, sold it and bought a Pacer, then sold that and bought an eagle station wagon. Going up with my grandparents, I was riding in AMC's everyday, the eagle was obviously my favorite, but that Pacer was pretty cool!! The gremlin was ugly in it's day, I thought the Pacer was better looking, but looking back now I would have taken that Gremlin over the pacer but unfortunately they are all gone now. I was just about to get my license when the eagle ate a valve, it was a perfect condition car that he junked because he didn't want to put a motor in it. I'm still upset that I didn't just take the car and drop an engine in it. But back in the early 90s, the car was plentiful and was not very sought after. Really wasn't worth a dime back then, but I would love to get a good condition AMC Eagle 4-wheel drive Wagon in today's day and age. Good stuff, keep up the great work, love these Revival videos

When I met my wife in 1985 she had a 1976 blue Pacer X. Great car when it ran, which was hardly ever. Fortunately, her father took pity on her and have her his 1980 Mazda 626. She just sold the Pacer and it was just a bad memory. When we were married a couple years later, that Mazda became my second car. I drove it almost problem free until 1994. We sold it at a yard sale right before we moved to California. We ended up buying two more 626s (1994, 1998) over next few years. Great cars
