Our very first destination in Portugal was this holiday house of a Californian couple in Portugal. Abandoned around the 2000's, it still remains a question: where did they go? Assuming they passed away back in the States a decade ago, there dream house is left abandoned and untouched. Enjoy the first video of our abandoned Portugal series!

The glass is made like that. - The rug is a sheep's skin. - The 'foot bath' in the garage bathroom is for washing your bottom. - Thank you for hanging up her clothes, it shows respect.

Pronounced beh-dā. It is of French origin but a lot of rich people have them in their homes. I had to watch that part a few times. I couldn't believe they didn't know what it was! Surely they've encountered them on previous adventures.

Honestly, I did see 60's and 70's decor so I suspect this couple did pass as you suggested both well into their late 80's or early 90's. 10:34 wall mirrors scream 1960...14:03 harvest gold fridge and stove screams 1970 another popular color for appliances in the 1970's was avocado green. 16:04 the linoleum tile is from the 1970's....18:40 this bed screams 1960's...18:52 mirror closet doors popular in the mid 1960 era ..27:16 a paisley blouse 1968....13:23 nesting plastic tables. Vintage clothes from this era can fetch quite a sum of money. Think about it these clothes and shoes are from 50-60 years ago, respectively. I would know I was a young girl in the 60's and a teenager in the 70's so it does bring back lots of memories.

Hi Maureno and Remon, Explomo, Wow! - What a wonderful start of your Portugal series. I was already looking forward to these videos. You are surprising me everytime, when I am watching a new video from you. - I loved the especially well made title intro. Your creativity is overwhelming. - Very well done - bravo! - You really made my day! - It was very interesting to follow you in mind, when you were showing that house of the American-Portuguese couple. - The whole interior has somehow a typical 70ies to 80ies vibe. - I also liked the fine background music with the first movement of the "Moonlight" - Sonata from L.v.Beethoven. - Also your small very humorous enactments (the "bar"-scene) made me laugh as well as the moment when you had to crawl under a broken door to a room. That was quite a challenge! Or the funny sombrero-dance scene! - LOL! -Hilarious! - So I am already looking very much forward to your next exploring adventures. Take care and safe explores, wherever you go! - Peace and lots of blessings. Kindest regards from Switzerland.

Hi Willy, your excitement about our videos is always a pleasure to read. Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time in Portugal. It was our favourite European country ever to explore abandoned places. Unfortunately as our external hard drive crashed, some of the videos could not be recovered. Luckily this was one of the recoverable videos and we were happy we could still share it with you. Take care and till the next one!!! 😁

I was going to stop watching these videos (yours) about 4 videos back, but before I could stop another one came on,then this one & I just couldn't bring myself to NOT watch it..lol I love your channel & think you boys are great, keep up the good job & thanks for sharing & being so respectful, to the houses you explore & to your viewers. Before we bought a home we rented a house, in the late 1970's, it had mirrors on one wall of a bedroom, one room also had wallpaper that was like a velvet type on one wall, it was red. I also back in the day, had the gold color kitchen appliances. I REALLY liked this video, seeing the different things.

It appears from the interior design that the villa was either built or refurbished in the 70s. The glass backsplash and mirrored closet doors are a giveaway. The clothes were worn during that era also. Strange that there were no updated clothes. I wonder how long it had been since they used the house.

For the most part some of those clothes are very expensive and some seem to go way back. It seemed like just a place to run off to and didn't care to much what it looked like. The kitchen was really tiny yet the closet had so many pots and pans. To bad some jerks got in and sprayed the walls and broke some of the doors. Great find guys you sure traveled a long way Thank You both

@@billeberhardt5022 Especially women have more cloths than men here in the US. When I was younger I had a lot more shoes too, but I still have 2 closets full of cloths.

Yep. We love our clothes here. It isn't strange at all.. I have more clothes than that and I am not wealthy. Just middle class.

Kitty Purr agree with the clothes. After watching this I think I’m going to get rid of some shoes. I have way too many ...And clean/organize my house really good. 😊

The cracked mirror look and the mirror with the painting on it are very common décor in America. This décor was especially popular in the 60’s and 70’s. The “foot washer” is called a bidea (spelled bidet.) You wash your bum! Love your videos!!!

I think the "carpets" were for protecting the furnitures, so they didn't get hair greese and stuff on them. I think we saw two of them already on the couch 😊 And the basin for "washing your feet" is really for washing your bottom 😆

Great video guys, again I'm impressed by your respect for the homes and artifacts you find. I don't think they were a rich family because the doors and furniture were not of good quality. Looks like it was decorated back in the 70's. There was certainly a lot of clothing , but you can get expensive clothing at resale places for a fraction of the price and they look brand new. Also, I'm still laughing, not at yo, just at the idea. The thing in the bathroom you said to wash your feet in, is called a bidet water squirts up out of it to wash your bottom. I believe it is mostly used in France, although some homes in America do have them. Thank you again for a fabulous explore. Barb Delaware, USA
