Abandoned Avalon Motel - Pittsburgh, PA. Condemned and closed in 2016 due to a fire, this hotel had been on hard times with crimes and fires that plagued this place ultimately leading to its closure. What was once a nice motel for those visiting Pittsburgh ended up becoming a place for those to do not so friendly things, unfortunately. Now it sits in ruins, vandalized, and with a couple of people living here off and on. It is a bit dangerous and I dont recommend coming here at night or alone. The area is fine but the grounds of the motel are not as people still go inside the rooms and police come by here as a result.

We had a strip of motels similar to this one in the west end of Toronto running from Parklawn Road to Palace Pier Blvd . Some of them were built as early as the 1940's .They were popular in their heyday . Well, they are all gone now . The real estate is what is valuable . They have all been replaced by tall condos ,some with lake views . My dentist is located at the base of one of these condos ( and a dental asst . once live above in the same building !) They started to get a reputation akin to the Avalon in later years . The last one was demolished around 2010 ( a guess ) .

I left before the restaurant moved to the 600 block of Lincoln. They had a good location close to the football field but plenty of competition with pizza Hut across Sheridan Avenue. It was a eat in/ take out restaurant and went to take out before the name change. Murat opened a Kennedy restaurant.

Oh, sweet Jesus....😟 Wallie, why did you go there alone? 😒 I cannot count the parties that went on there when I was in high school. (I also know many people that lost their virginity at this place.) I spent a few nights there with my BF in high school. No ID required with cash. No questions asked....$19.99 a night plus tax in 1995 ($24.99 a night if you were paying by card). I remember feeling so "adult" because I was spending the night at a hotel. 🙄 As a 42YO now, I cringe to think of the other disgusting (and probably criminal) things that were probably going on there. That place was so....weird. In 1995, the rooms were still decorated in 1970s greens, golds, and florals. The remote was bolted to the nightstand. I remember that there was no stall for the shower. There was a curtain in the shower area, but the drain was legit in the middle of the bathroom floor. I guess it was easier to spray the blood off the walls. 🤔 P.S. I will give you $50 for that motel sign on the little office.

I would understand and others don't they can go there and film their own stuff in this creepy bedbug paradise. And you are braver than me. Honestly tear the damn place down. That is kinda my feeling with exploring inside places. It's the reason I have not gone into any of the several abandoned places I've visited with open doors. I don't have many KZbinrs and basically no explorers within 80 mi of my home in Cheyenne Wy, so the thought of going into a place is scary both for the danger risks and everything else involved to where the most I do is peak my camera inside and call it good. It's kinda a misfortune of not having more explorers in your area.

This motel was the location of high demonic activity. When I was a teenage runaway in the late 80's, the street kids all hung together and used to look out for each other. Many of the girls were turning tricks and this is where they did a lot of their business. Many of the girls would live here off and on as their money allowed, and identification to prove they were over the age of 18 was not required. Even into the late 90's, this place was known for meetups to do drug deals. I imagine the energy here feels very negative, as underage prostitution, sexual assault, physical abuse, drug addiction, murder and suicide ran rampant here. Very demonic activities. Although I didn't participate in such activities and didn't go through any trauma here, this is one place I am not sad to see go.
