Interesting, I've never seen this. I used to have anxiety about crossing bridges. One reason being you never knew what about the underside. Let me tell you I saw the underneath of the Boonesboro Memorial bridge the old one,which was near 60 years old before new construction started in the early 1990's. There were river travelers that knew what it looked like underneath. They talked about building a new one for years. Lots of people never knew how dangerous it was. Infrastructure in America is something to consider when we travel the highways and byways. There was some of that talk about our roads and bridges before this last administration, it's dropped off again. Overextended and overwhelmed, things get pushed aside. Unfortunately the people wind up suffering. Did you know there are 250,000 bridges in the U.S. that are between 25 and 50 years old. Extreme weather and use of salt chlorides eat through the concrete and rust the steel girders. Another interesting note that's why they are using less salt in winter[besides the collapse of salt mines] and adding heat strips. Sorry I write book comments. Take care out there.

The bridge that bothered me the most driving over it was the old Cooper River bridge in Charleston SC. I remember it being a high arching bridge that had a lot of metal grate work on it. I found that to be really unnerving to drive over. Thanks for the facts. I know watching that Baltimore bridge collapse was shocking to see. The middle of that went down like a house of cards.
