Loved episode 1! It was great meeting you both and we are thrilled that you are giving Finn the love and respect a 73 Bronco deserves! Actually getting to ride in it made me so happy! They didn’t change to the 351w firing order for the roller 5.0 until 94 except for the HO 5.0 🙂 A guy can also pull and measure a single pushrod to determine if it’s a roller - since the roller pushrod will be shorter due to the taller roller lifter. The roller pushrod measures 6.250 in stock form. Good coverage over the Windsor series - your dad here just had to add some points 🙂 Thunderhead289

@@JunkyardDigs That's an awesome find ya got for yourself. I hope that you end up restoring it cuz there just ain't enough of them Broncos on the road anymore. The 302's are nice and all, but I would've preferred to see it with a 351 Windsor due to my own experiences with those motors. I had an '85 F250 with the 351. Bought it with 175k miles on it and sold it many years later with 325k miles on it. It was still smokin the tires by that time and was one of the most reliable engines I've ever had in a vehicle, though the 5.9L 360 Dodge motor that's in my 2000 Durango is givin it a run for it's money. :)

I've got a '74 Bronco with power brakes and steering, 347 stroker SBF, 630 Holley 4bbl, (throttle body injection maybe this summer) new Centerforce clutch, heavy duty truck 4spd w/an Atlas transfer case, Dana 44 posi front end, Ford 9" posi rearend, 4.88 gears, just mounted a new Warn 8000lb winch up front, and to help that out I installed a Ford "Big Green" alternator, it's what Ford uses on their ambulance vehicles, so it's got a lot of juice...Bronco's weren't offered with A/C til 1980 I believe....Tom's Bronco Parts is a good place to source parts, but try to keep in mind that 1st generation Bronco's are worth a lot of money when done right, so they can get spendy, but their value keeps goin up...I paid $6000 for mine in 2008, it had been sittin under an apricot tree in one of the last apricot orchards left here in San Jose, Calif, turns out my Mom's high school boyfriend owned it...I was offered $25,000 cash for it right before this Wuh-Flu covid crap hit, and I turned it down....hang on to that rig bro, pass it on to your kid or whoever, it'll pay for itself and then some one day, it's a good investment....and they're beasts in the mud and snow ....🤘🏻🇺🇸.... After watching Mook's dedication to these endeavors I think she deserves a dedicated points file ($1.50 on Fleabay) and some "don't bang my knuckles" gloves. Believe it or not Ford Solenoids once had a button on the bottom for under hood cranking... honest. I pull off the connector from the solenoid and use a remote start button. Point file, feeler gages, remote start button and test light in all of my tool boxes. Horrible Fright was giving away electrical testers... got about a dozen.

How about a dollar? Dam ole Corona dun took mah job.
@thedudeabides8046
@thedudeabides8046 4 жыл бұрын
@@madmex2k How about a dollar? , They are a form of currency printed upon a Cotten , silk blend , they were printed upon paper and known as “green backs” and originally minted as coins back when they were supported by the gold standard , gold standard of course being an actual amount of gold held in a federal reserve being put up as collateral against the face value of each note/coin. Interestingly they use a different president upon each denomination from the likes of Lincoln to Ben Franklin , frustratingly they for some reason insist on cutting all the notes to the same size no matter the denomination causing issue to blind people all across the country, it was suggested that the notes upon reissue (to save money) could have been resized but apparent public outcry had to be avoided. That’s all about a dollar Madmex2k , as for your job being taken by the corona , well so have hundreds of thousands of others , mine included , but rather than begging on the internet to random strangers , I am doing something about it , and if your lucky enough to have your health and also not had to bury family members due to Corona I suggest that your problems are just that , your problems , if you have no work go volunteer somewhere from food banks to fire stations , many many charities need capable people now more than ever and as a benefit to you as well as keeping your self esteem up it looks good on any job application that during tough times you helped others. Have a nice day.....

20 years ago my Dad fully restored a '69..... with the use of a '70 and '71. Lot of work and a lot of body panels. However, it was a rare "half cab" with a factory bench seat.

A buddy of mine had one of these in high school and it was great other than we had to reset the points every week for some reason. At one point, we had toyed with the idea of trying to superglue or weld the adjustment screw in place, but left it alone because we weren't ready to make that kind of commitment. The videos are great, especially the ones with your hot sister in them. Go CLONES!

Hello, from Oklahoma. New to your channel and I really like it! I have a small restoration shop. I’ve always had a Bronco. Any questions! Ask me. I’ve built 6 of them. Have a 1966 right now. My 1st was a 73. Love how original that one you got is.

One good tip for vehicles with points, use a penny to rub on the points. Works as both a file and adds a little bit of a copper coating to help rejuvenate points that you wouldn't expect. Also you almost always will have a penny on you.

Welcome to the world of the pack rat. What you found is entirely common. I parked my Power Wagon for six months while I was deployed to Japan. When I came home, my engine was valve cover to valve cover with a pack rat's nest. Nothing but seed pods, twigs, bits of cactus and chewed wires. Nice find on the Bronco though. Heck of a score!
