Say, when you guys were going out , and the camera was taking shots, saw another canon lying in the water, water didn't appear too deep.It was i think near some piece of wood. Will have to watch from the start to tell you where.

Out of curiosity Si, could you use AirBoats, or do they even have those in England? They use them in the swamps of louisiana , Florida and other places. Though i guess hoverboats are lighter. great finds. They drain and clean the San Antonio River from time to time here in Texas. Think they might have found a few musket balls or something, but most of it is junk, not like what you all find.

Yvonne Pagan Why hello! I live in the United States of America in Milwaukee Wisconsin, I’m considered the Midwest. I live close to Lake Michigan. This summer there was major construction going on where I work, and discovered bottles and other fun vintage things from the 1940s. For magnet fishing I go to various locations on the Milwaukee River. And so far I’ve done metal detecting on the beaches near my house. Thank you for contacting me!

as always - great video! some really nice bottles :) I know I have said it before, but will say it again, it amazes me that things that are that old - you guessed the cannon balls to be about 200 years old, are just there along the shore line. It boggles my mind that they are just left there! You need to build yourself a bowl out of staves and put banding on it so it looks like a powder keg and put your cannon balls on display in it. The roman vase/pitcher thing you found on Nicola White’s video last week was gorgeous and that is what I mean, that something that dates back to the roman occupation is still there, just waiting for someone to come find it. I was thrilled for you :) to find a whole one must have been just beyond the moon! You need to build yourself a bowl out of staves and put banding on it so it looks like a powder keg and put your cannon balls on display in it. Thanks for a fantastic video! I love these 😊

It’s just amazing the history. From what I see from the Roman Empire to todays artifacts. I live in Southern California we go back two hundred years or so. We do not have remains or rubbish, tossed trash. Isn’t that funny how I would wish for more old trash dumps in my area. I’m a mudlarker at heart. The problem is we have very little mud. Keep up your excellent work Simon. I love your show.

I watch these videos every week, and I’m DYING to know.....do you all hose off before getting in your cars? When my sons were young and played football on muddy days, I had to cover the seats in blankets and towels before they sat down. I guess this is a “mom’s worried about mud all over her car” question. 🤣🤣🤣 (Another great video, by the way!!!!)

Vaux Stout bottle brought some memories back for me. Vaux Brewery was a Sunderland company set up in 1806 by a Cuthbert Vaux. I'm from Sunderland & remember the smell of the hops from the brewery back when I was younger in the 1970's through to their closure in 2000. They used to deliver their beers using a dray & horses to the pubs in Sunderland right up until they closed.

You can buy Neoprene booties with a hard rubber sole, personally I think they would make more sense to wear than Wellies. They go on fitted firm almost skin tight and they won't slip.off. they are a bit shorter than boots, but who cares you get mud covered anyway and these will make it harder to get stuck in the mud. Put a sling on a ski pole and you can use it to get out in a pinch. Hovercraft are really cool but like a 4x4 truck, you may end up stuck where no help is available. Why do the motors have to be so quirky? They are hat a Briggs and Stratton style engine? If they got Honda or Suzuki to build a motor, I bet it wouldn't break down as often. All fun in the muck though and you guys find some pretty spectacular things out there! I guess adventure is the name of the game right? God knows I did enough of that in my youth. When you showed the barges Si, what was the Fort up above? So much history from so many centuries! It is truly mind boggling! Your cannonballs are awesome! The bottle names will give you a lot of looking up and researching to do no doubt. Some great finds and you all made it out alive.....again! 😂

Really enjoy your videos. A Q about the cannonballs. I once read about a guy in the States who was killed in a blast disarming a civil war cannonball, apparently the black powder is very volatile. Do you take this into account when you find, clean and store them. I'm in Melbourne, Australia and remember someone finding a cannonball on the Mornington peninsula and taking it to the police . They had to evacuate the station! Don't blow yourselves up guys I expect you to be producing more content into your 70s!
