Abandoned Cars At Drive-In - Exploring Bombay Beach

This video is unlike anything I’ve posted so let me know if you’d like to see more of this content. We visited the Salton Sea and made a stop in Bombay Beach to check out the town, the vintage trailers, weird art attractions, but mostly the abandoned classic cars at the makeshift drive-in movie lot. We had so much fun exploring and learning about the area’s history. It was HOT out there so my phone overheated and couldn’t keep up with all the action… but I hope you dig it as much as we did.

6:12 it's part of a VW exhaust. The upper parts connect to heater boxes for the cars heat. It looks like it might be from a VW bus.

That plane fuselage converted to a sculpture looked like a giant flying fish to me. Awesome you sharing this video, I'm reading about it during the off-season. You playing your, "Just a little sample" playing on the piano segment brought you to a higher level of respect and admiration Liv, and brought a tear to my eye. Anyway....it's no wonder it was so hot there, at 237 feet below sea level in the direct sunlight that's like siesta season if you ask me...lol Thanks for the video.

There is a LOT more to see in Bombay Beach; they showed very little. Plus Salvation Mountain is nearby ( must-see), Slab City (FWIW), plus mud pots, Sonny Bono Preserve.

Sadly soon all combustion cars and trucks including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO laws)!!
