What a beautiful house i hope the elderly couple made some amazing memories in their home before this place was left abandoned for squatters to get in

This home made me very sad. It was obviously loved and furnished with care. How some persons can treat it so callously, with such disrespect, is a poor reflection on the human race. It makes me doubly grateful to you and those other explorers who document these abandoned sites. Stay safe, healthy and wishing all good things for you.

The passage of time seals all bargains, sadly, no one will claim or aid the house. The bedroom ensemble was a good quality grouping, I would estimate it as mid 40's. Those were not cheap even then. Often a lot of people of that generation had little faith in banks, and would often hide valuables in cleverly concealed places. My old gran used a teapot ornament on the wall for her Mad money. The squatters did a pretty thorough job. House would be 1920's vintage. Thank you for the look-in. Cheers

What a lovely old place before the break in. The furniture was definatly nice quality maybe from the 1930's, they took great care to maintain the furniture. Beautiful old house! It's a shame it was vandalized. I hope there is such a thing as karma to come back and destroy the destroyers property! Back to the house. Loved all of it, even the walls and ceilings. The interior glass doors were sublime and a lot of the furniture was purchased around the same time. I can visualize the lady of the house measuring the rooms and taking those measurements to the store to get "just the right" furniture for the spot. While a lot of the 70's furniture was . . . well, 70's, it still fit the pattern of the house. Even the flowered carpets! Thanks, Indigo, for taking us along on this unique adventure! When squatters occupy a house why the hell must they destroy everything, if kept tidy they could stay there for ages and perhaps no one would even realise they were there. My ocd, just wants me to go in there, give the house a good clean and tidy, if for nothing more but to show respect to the couple who stayed there.
