The pigeon on the rotating vent reminded me of a heron who once hung around. He would sit atop my A/C unit, and when it started up and blew up his feathers, he never budged. He looked like Marilyn in the iconic photo in her white dress.

Karen isn’t a replacement for entitled or bitch. It’s just an owl with a little wig, that’s it. It’s a shame how you and so many people on social media ruined a sweet and innocent name. I feel bad for all the good and kind women already named Karen. Unfortunately, you don’t know that they’re getting the brunt of it and paying the price for how their name of Karen is used in a negative and degrading way.

The last flock of birds running from the waves-- they eat crustaceans and they spot them from the air bubbles escaping their tunnels where a wave has just washed over. So they have to run out to get them right after the wave passes. They also hate getting wet. It's a conundrum! XD

Cockatiels are the most wonderful little critters ever. They're super smart. I have one who'll be 26 in a few months. He was completely blind by age 1, but he's a happy and content little guy. And he's a rocker. He'll start chirping and whistling when I'm blasting away on my guitar, which, of course, isn't too loud. (Being blind, his hearing is very sensitive. He can hear me in the kitchen opening a bag of tortilla chips. If I say, "Ya' want a chip?", he starts hopping from one foot to the other in anticipation of my picking him up and sitting him by his food dish so he can enjoy his snack.)

I had two cockatiels for 14 years, Pablo and Luna. Pablo was the stupidest bird you could ever imagine, always got himself into trouble, fell off of everywhere while dozing off in the weirdest positions, broke and ruined a whole lot of my things by gnawing it or pooping onto it, yet I miss that stupid bird soooo muuuuch! ❤ Luna was the quiet, careful one, she would ogle things from afar and give it time, until she went to inspect it, and loved throwing stuff off my shelves, to see it fall. I miss her, too, she was special in her own, quiet way. ❤ It's been twelve years... *sigh*
