Exploring Abandoned Dollar Store Set On Fire By Arsonist
The abandoned dollar store was located in Detroit, Michigan. In 2018, it was left abandoned after an arson fire destroyed an entire section of the store and left all the merchandise full of soot and smoke damage. The arsonist was a patron that ended up getting into a heated argument with store clerks regarding store prices. After the patron left, he returned back to the dollar store about an hour later with gasoline and matches. He entered the dollar store and began to put gasoline down the aisle ways inside the dollar store causing everyone inside to panic and run outside. He lit a match and soon the store was engulfed in flames. The Detroit Fire Department responded quickly and they were able to extinguish the fire before it destroyed everything. Thankfully, nobody was harmed or injured in the arson fire. The arsonist was apprehended a few days later and is currently in prison. The dollar store was left abandoned with everything left inside giving it a real life post-apocalyptic experience.

They will not give it away because of insurance liability and brand image. If some dumbass claims they got sick or ill from having fire damaged product, they can sue for $20,000+ or more. So it's easier to send it all to the landfill. Don't blame the store, blame society of America and how everyone always wants free money and fuck the corporations. If you want the stuff, then go in there with a UHAUL and take it all yourself and give it out to people. Otherwise, stop bitching about it. So many idiots sit there on their lazy ass and just say "why wont someone do something" YOU go do something. YOU.

To you and I much of the inventory is 'Salvageable' but because everything is covered in smoke and soot the underwriters most likely declared it a total loss, paid the claim, and then will hire a contractor to remove the entire contents in one big move. It's locked because the salvage company will bass his price on what he thinks he can salvage. The structure is probably still in good order. Although this occurred in 2018 society has gotten even MORE INSANE fueled by Alcohol and Drug Abuse.

I really wish i could take some stuff but im scared because 1. Some of the stuff might comtain bacteria or diseases. 2. Since the food and drinks were left behind it makes it even worse because it already expired/rotted/spoiled before reaching the expiration date since the building hasn't been maintained. 3. There's probably mold already growing inside the building after the fire. Besides from all that, Most of the stuff that didnt perish (except the food, drinks, snacks & candy) could've been donated to other stores.

how on earth are those ciggaretts still there! its sad becuase all those food products will have to binned because of contamination from the fire. I dont know if its a good idea to give it away, it may be toxic now.
