It is sad to see it decaying so much. Most likely won't be savable esp through a few more harsh winters. My friend was there yesterday and it was snowing bad in Poland at this location.

I built, remodeled and did additions to homes for 15 years.. homes between 1850 to present and trying to replicate this type of work to a historic commission’s standard is very time consuming, even with power tools! They were a different caliber of craftsman!

Imagine the artist and wood workers that spent thousands of hours creating these masterpieces. Items that will never be created again. The castle may be may beyond repair but there are many parts that should be saved and used in another renovation. Save old to create new.

Niestety w Polsce jest wiele zabytkowych pałaców lub zamków, które są dziś ruiną, nawet w mojej wsi stoi niewielki dwór obronny, który dopiero nie dawno ktoś kupił i wyremontował. W sumie w każdej polskiej miejscowości jest jakis zaniedbany zabytek. Niestety nie ma pieniędzy żeby te zabytki naprawiać.

Yup and for that reason it will mostly never be restored. Within a few years the ceiling will collapse after the harsh winters. My friend was there last week and its already snowing bad in this area of Poland.

The water dripping is a poignant metaphor for the slow decay of the palace as it slowly falls apart. Hopefully if it gets too expensive to maintain and they decide to knock it down, they will save the architectural and decorative details and donate them to a museum or salvage and repurpose them. It would be a real shame if they decided to demolish them wholesale.

Not sure this one will be saved. The roofs are starting to collapse. I give this property less than 5 years before the entire property starts to collapse. They have brutal winters over there in Poland.

It’s unthinkable that a palace this old would be totally destroyed, I’m sure there is someone or a company out there that has the money and plans that will save it. There are plenty of developers with money in Poland who can eventually save this place, after all I’ve seen many similar projects saved and restored, why not this?

The only way someone could afford owning that and fixing it is if they Don’t have to pay any property taxes. And then they would Still would need to be worth few Hundred Million to have the extra money to be able to afford fixing it.

Just think of the history this place has seen!! you would think as important as all these abandoned castles all over Europe that the cities that they’re in would want to take those and repair and make them beautiful again and then they could use them for wedding weddings Christmas parties just different events in the area and it would be way to share it with the entire villages that they’re in. Something that needs to be preserved for future generations!! the big giant windows in the ballroom if they had cushions, those would be the need windows set in like cruise boats have the same type of windows when they have an out outside window I’ve been known to climb up in them and sat and watch the ocean and these windows remind me of that!

I would ask the town to hire a team to calculate the restoration price. Then buy it for the asking price and set up a fund for them to draw on with a US supervisor watching. Then when it is finished, just give it to the town. If the asking price is 1.7 million. The cost to restore it would be like 5 times that. With new technology you could go in with 3D scanners, have all the details recreated in cad and have everything CNC cut off site. The hard part would be having things like the roofing tiles remade to original specs. It would be a good hobby project for 10 million. It would be enough to get a passport visa issued to you from Poland.

I was born in Poland and I wish he had bought it, I’m sure he could restore it. There was probably some pushback within Polish gov. because it was to be sold to English royalty. This place would be perfect for English royals to vacation in after all the Muslims destroy England completely, which seems like a matter of time now. 😕☹️
