I bought a Fiat 850 Sport Spyder new in 1970. Underpowered but also very light; massively fun to drive with very pleasing lines. Rather like the stereotypical Italian girlfriend; to be run flat out on the weekends with no regard for the future, and then you spend all week repairing the relationship!

I saw the first part of this video and was immediately interested and shocked. An old fiat running after 30 years is shocking, no matter how much everything is shot. Restoring old cars is very good in my opinion and I have seen a 78 Camaro sitting out on a yard, unfortunately it was either sold or wrecked because it isn't where it was before. It was a nice car, but it didn't look in a good condition, the owners wanted 1800 for it. I would love it if you restored this fiat.

I had buddies back in the early 80's that had these car and they were a blast to drive in warm or mild weather ,I am in Manitoba Canada bordering North Dakota so you know what the winters are like, just freaking cold, to your surprise during the first snowfall when it wasn't cold and just a few inches of snow on the ground these cars were good in the snow because of the rear almost mid engine design they had great traction, small engine car i believe 1.3 litre 4 cyl, with a single carb, they didn't have much heat and were ok to around 10-20 degrees fahrenheit after that the heat could not keep the windows clear, and handled great in a little bit of snow, and could do donuts better than anything on the road at the time, these little engines would rev to 75/8000 rpms all day long, the engines were good for around 70/80,000 miles then a rebuild was needed which was cheap to do about 1200 bucks or go to the wreaker and buy a whole car for 6/700 bucks lots of good memories in these cars, just top down fun all the time

The body on that Fiat looks very good, they are usually very rust-prone. That one looks like someone may have started to restore it since all the chrome and other trim has been removed. They are great little cars when running well, and virtually all the parts are readily available.
