That is a impressive resurection of something a lot of people would just say is a lost cause or junk. Just goes to show if you have the time and experience you can make it work again.

Yeah, but see how long you'll wanna run something like this. Once a piece of equipment get's worn out to this extent, it's like trying to ride a bicycle with about 10lbs of air pressure in the tires. Everything sucks haha. Only way to fix it is to replace all of the pins, all of the bushings, pretty much all of the wear points. For fun it's great but for production, god no!

Congrats on getting her fired up again, that always feels very nice! But now the REAL work begins stripping it down and going through all the electrical, Fuel and cooling systems then when that done comes the entire hydraulic system and pump! will be a ton of time but hopefully the parts are still in decent shape and its mainly cleaning and not rebuilding!

Enjoyed this guy's thanks for uploading it,👍😊 I've got one of these, recently rebuilt the engine, and tightened up the under carriage with new rollers. I ended up using ex60/2 rollers with the bolt holes drilled bigger and made some 50mm x 15 mm thick sshims to bring the rollers to the right height after I failed to track down the correct ones. Had a bit of a hard time tracking down the parts for my engine too, spent hours searching online, it's an Isuzu c330 but you will find nothing for it. I found a later version of this engine was made and the pistons, bearings liners and some gaskets are the same from the kit, most importantly the head gasket is the same. Off hand withought looking at the box I think it's a B 240 the uses the same pistons ect? I can check if you guys need a rebuild kit. Filters are a bit of an issue also. I got the last set my hytachi dealer had left on the shelf, I am in Ireland by the way. I use my machine for pulling scrub and bushes off our land, and some drainage work. I find the boom a bit short for drainage though, your right up beside your work! Have to say they are a fantastic little digger, I wouldn't be withought mine. Best of luck to you guys whatever you do with it, and as I said, I'll double check the boxes my stuff came in to get the right Isuzu model, don't bother looking for c330 parts,👍

Hitachi taught Caterpillar design engineering from the ground up in how to make an excavator. great machines. I worked on them both, The Hitachi was the better machine, note I'm an old man now, back this up over twenty years ago. cat does a pretty good job at it now, When I started working for the Cat Dealers they didn't have anywhere near what they produce now, the yard was like a used car dealer, other band named equipment they didn't have. dozers scarpers, side boom's, blades, and some rollers. shovels you bought else where. I maintained the 666 line/ scarpers.

What's with that side screen crap on the screen? Why do you block out most of the screen on here? When you drive your car, do you block out most of the windshield? It's just as ridiculous on here. People want to see the whole picture!

It's a phone camera video in portrait mode, have you not seen this before? If you put a portrait video on KZbin or display it on any wide screen you have big nothings on each side of the video, there are various options for accommodating this, stretch zoom the picture to fill the screen - looks ridiculous, true aspect zoom the picture to fill the screen - you lose half the original picture at the top and bottom, leave the sides black or a colour of your choice, OR as youtube offers you can use the original video and stretch it out but blur it as a background, which is what is being used here. I thought everyone knew this stuff.
