At mechanics tech school, 1980-82, we were taught to compression test a fully warmed-up engine. The heat and hand burns were no fun. Mechanic gloves were not yet invented. lol

Hey Puddin I remember that you put engine restore in and I have used it for years so calculate after 3-500 miles and do another compression check and I bet the numbers are higher. GOD bless you and your family

Hey Puddin, for poops and giggles you should try a little experiment... Put in a bottle of that liquid Engine Restore in the silver/grey bottle and see what it does. I've tried it myself and it actually worked and stopped smoking and raised compression on every cylinder. One thing I didn't do was to check it again after it had an extra 10,000 miles or so on it and see if it continued to keep compression, but it still wasn't smoking when I sold it.

And don't forget that with the Quadrapig at full tilt you can wash them cylinders down with fuel (race car trick so ya can make tech spec) but it is a smog motor from the mid 70s so those numbers are close. Keep up the good fight.
