This song serves as an interesting foil to Thlassalaphobia, and character-wise, a foil to L is Real. Despite both stemming from the same point of origin, one is more depressing with a trapped Luigi trying to get free, being a more somber, but still high-action song. This one is more chilling in atmosphere, and has more energy in the form of resentment and anger, with a Luigi wanting others to suffer just as he did, all the more emphasized by the laugh halfway through. I never really watched CLASSIFIED, aside from Promo Show, but this was not at all what I would have anticipated when I learned that we were getting two L is Real adaptations in the same mod.

This song's had me absolutely boxed at the end with that final Water rising section. Abandoned is another great song that was able to grace my ears when I started playing, eventually it got the better of me when I kept failing near the end, as it was the song that I got the most fails on, but that doesn't take away from how good it is. With how it starts fairly somber, but picks up and slows down with the threat of the water rising and you needing to lower it. It is genuinely my favorite of the Classified Castle Tracks.

Every time I hear that final water rising section, I always imagine it as the tide that comes in and sweeps Luigi away, but then Boyfriend swims after him, but then Luigi is pulled under the water and BF then swims down to try and reach him... The screen fills with red static, then cuts to BF and Classified Luigi in a stark white area with no water... Classified Luigi explains to BF that it's too late for him but thanks him for trying to save him and for staying with him to the very end. BF gives Classified Luigi one last hug goodbye, trying and failing to stifle his tears before Classified Luigi turns to leave. With a glowing halo over Classified Luigi's head and a wing cap on, he takes a running start for a triple jump before disappearing... Boyfriend then falls to his knees crying, and as the song ends, it cuts back to Classified Castle, where BF is coughing, having been saved from drowning by GF and whoever else was there with them.

But I think the pacing of the entire mod would have been improved tenfold if the worlds were in the following order. 1) Irregularity Isle 2) Content Cosmos 3) Woodland of Lies 4) Classified Castle 5) Hellish Heights Content Cosmos should come before Woodland of lies, as it has more non canonical songs like in the Isle. And Hellish Heights should come AFTER the Castle. The pacing then would be PERFECT. Thats what I think atleast.

I know other people have said it already but I’ve definitely come to have a much greater appreciation for this song, it has levels and each of it contributing in a new way to level up the shock of the player in a way, it starts strong, in a game of fear between the two to try and one up the other eventually calming down, giving you a moment to relax, and then the jumpscare hits you with a “we’re only half way son, you still gotta make it another two minutes” and then picks up the pace in an incredible way, and again when you least expect it going in, Luigi laughs AGAIN and you know you’re in the climax, and then everything just starts going all out musically as the death notes become increasingly more difficult to be more aware of to hit and then it calms down in the end. Like- this song, is underrated and I love it from start to finish

Luigi just has some of the best songs out of the entire mod. Alone, I Hate You, Oh God No, Overdue and this are such bangers the only one im not too keen on is Thalassophobia but even thats not a bad song, plus I really liked the air coins mechanic for it so it gets a pass.

It's definitely one of the more slept on songs in the mod. The beats insane. I love how it ebbs and flows in intensity with the water. Being so enegetic, nostalgic, while sounding so sad. Like a burned memory. And that ended. Really has become one of my favorites over time.

Honestly a A- - A tier The best way i can describe this song is calm and mysterious, plus this is probably one one the hardest songs in the mod due to its Gimmick with the water rising It honestly feels like an alternate version of Thalassophobia, where as that song had more of a hopless, despair feel to it And honestly the sm64 instrumentala kinda slap different
