ABANDONED House FULL OF STUFF Like They Just Left Everything Behind | PART 3

Abandoned house full of stuff including old toothbrushes in the bathroom, toothpaste, clothes still hanging in the closet, children's toys, Christmas decorations still hanging, a kitchen full of stuff, and so much more.
This abandoned town is full of houses, and this particular abandoned home is full of very interesting stuff. It looks like the old residents just up and left all of their belongings behind, from old textbooks to an exercise bike and a kitchen still full of dishes stacked away in the cabinets.
There are still dishes left in the sink! The vintage stove should be saved before this house collapses. Unfortunately, some parts of the roof are falling in, so I don't think this house will be around much longer.
The town first started nearly 100 years ago, and had some residents in the last 20 years, but today it's completely deserted and forgotten.
We came across this entire ghost town and mine while out exploring. In this part, we explore the first abandoned home on the property.
In future episodes we explore multiple abandoned homes, find an old laboratory filled with chemicals, a massive safe inside a building and surrounded by concrete, an old mill that resembled a maze, and more. Stay tuned.
The places we visit are usually very remote with little to no chance of help if something were to happen. It's been said that one can stumble upon drug labs out at these remote locations, which is a possibility we always keep in mind.

It's sad when you have to up and abandon your life. Many factors come into play, whether it be a death in the family , divorce, a disease such as cancer, loss of a job. Hopes and dreams are dashed. Hopefully the previous residents have found a better life.

That looks suspiciously like a human trafficking location. There are quite a few things there that don't add up, including why is there dust buildup on a lot of things, but then things that are commonly used as house-hold items don't have any dust on them at all, including but not limited to the child's trike out front. have you ever come across people still living in a place? whats the worst thing besides the puppy mill house you 2 have ever come across? just so you know you guys are fast becoming my favorite to watch and even my wife watches sometimes.

Thank you Tom! So far we have not come across any people still living in the places we visit. These places are usually so far in the middle of nowhere that they would have to have a vehicle to get supplies, so that's what we look for first. In addition, we look for the sure signs that a place is abandoned, no power, broken windows, etc. From there you can look for all the signs of recent activity. My biggest fear is coming across a body, hope I never have too. :-)

You can tell based on the overall house design and some of the appliances that the house was built and occupied mostly in the 60s and 70s. However, there are signs that someone (probably a family) came back in the late 80s or early 90s and tried to fix it up. The freezer and refrigerator are from that time period, even though the stove is from earlier. The textbook, clothes, and decorations are from that era. It seems like it didn’t entirely turn out well for them.

I always leave with the same questions. I try to find anything I can to identify who may have been there, but most of the time I come up empty handed. I would love to find some of the old residents and interview them.

Lawndale, CA and Reseda, CA are both located in Los Angeles County. Pretty strange to see library books from a major metropolitan area while this house looked to be located in the foothills or the high deserts near San Bernardino or Kern County.

The house is somewhere in Nevada, since it was served by Nevada Bell. They could have bought the text books from a used book store, or maybe the family moved there from LA.

Just to put some dates in. The old truck in the first video had registration stickers from 85' the Phone box near the end of this video was by Pacific Telesis which was a "Baby Bell" company created in preparation of the breaking up of AT&T. It operated from 83' to 06' The use of 611 for phone troubles was discontinued in the 80' So 1983 - 1985 for last use of this area would not be a bad guess.

Budweiser didn't start using "Bud" instead of "Budweiser" until April 1990 on their packaging. Could have been left by vandals, but it looks like it was stuffed in the stove as a fuel source; why wouldn't vandals just throw the box on the ground? I was also trying to date the textbook about refrigeration, it seems to be a second (or later) version, couldn't find a match online. One possible book was published in 1987, meaning a second edition would be close to or in the 90's.

It gets stickier! Illinois Home Builders, Inc. was incorporated in 1995 (and dissolved in 1996) - usually companies use the title "inc" before receiving their certificates, but I think that places this shirt firmly at 1994 or later. Seeming like 20 is pretty close to the magic number.

I'm just finding your videos and I'm binging them all. This place reminds me of what my grandma and grandpa's house would look like if it were still around by looking at all the things around.... That white metal kitchen cabinets are around 1950's and there are more things from the 60's and 70's that I remember seeing as a kid. There are a few newer items that I wonder if they were left by hikers or other explorers - like the beer cardboard.... The christmas tins with pencils in them and the lights - likely for the grandkids when they come to visit, and yeah, looks like something happened not long after Christmas that forced them to leave the old place. The music definitely played into the sadness. I love all these older videos and I am going to be really sad when I have finally seen them all. You guys are really awesome!

There is a cable tv program about hunting for tiny house. If I was to live in a tiny house in the middle of now where I would need solar power, a plot for growing food, and a water well. The nearest town would be 15 minutes away.

There's a part of my town that no one goes to anymore. There's a giant abandoned church at the beginning of this old road and then it just spans out into the marsh. It's beautiful. I've only ridden down the road once, but there's lots of old style houses over run by plants. They couldn't have had any power either. The road goes out to the water and there's some old boats and an old dock. It's quite amazing that all this stuff is still standing, considering how the town often is hit by hurricanes and flooding. I plan on exploring them one day. Your videos inspire me too!

What an amazing story it must have been for the human who brought it there.

Always wear gloves, check under couch cushions for cash and guns, lift mattresses for stash and guns, check and open canisters and jars on kitchen shelves for hidden money, look for disturbed walls in closets for hidden hiding places for money and guns. You'd be surprised. Money is fair game to whomever finds it.

As much as I love watching videos like yours, places like this make me depressed. To think that this house was at one point somebody's pride and joy, only to now rot away in the middle of the desert. At least the vandals haven't gotten to it. Also, given the fact it seems to be in decent condition except for the roof, a rebuild/restoration seems like it'd be relatively easy.

+Lisa Stokes One thing I've noticed about V05 is their logo really hasn't been updated much since the late 80s -90s. I bought some for the first time in years recently because it was cheap and I needed shampoo after moving into a new place and later was digging through old pictures from my childhood. One picture is from 93 and behind me in the photo was shelves that my mom kept her perfumes and shampoos on & there was a VO5 bottle. .it pretty much looked the same as the one I recently purchased. Also in the picture was a can of Aussie hairspray and that too hasn't changed much. It's funny how some things look like they belong in a certain decade. In my photo was a can for L.A looks hair gel complete with a neon pink logo and flashy designs on the bottle. It's so 90s that it made me kind of nostalgic. I can still remember the way it smelled like bubblegum lol. Anyways I'm rambling now :)

Given it's in Public Land, it's better to refurbish it, clean it up, move the good stuff from other houses in, move the junk in more decayed houses, leave some canned food in the closet, put mouse traps at the corners, place a log book in evidence and hang a sign outside mentioning to take care of this rescue shelter also acting as hunting lodge.
