Fantastic video, thanks! How lonely life must have been there, not to mention underwater half the time!

The family loved it there and didn't want to leave but ultimately they had no choice.

Amazing to see the Island. Sign of the times.

It was inhabited until fairly recently by Margaret McGregor and her mother. When her mother died she left the place and moved ashore. It was a working farm for many years and there was a wall that encircled the Inch.

Alloa Insh? Stroma needs to be on your list. A very haunting island with all the abandoned buildings still there and the memorial.

May I ask who and why this beautiful island was abandoned
@coconutislanddrones9 ай бұрын
If you watch the video it's clear to see why it had to be abandoned. I don't know the name of the family who lived there.

The land is sinking or breaking up there, would be nice and peaceful place to live thou.

It would but I'd imagine it wouldn't be very hospitable after a few days of rain.

The woman that once lived there now lives nearby. She reckons she owns the airspace above the island lol

@Coconut Island Drones you get a hard time off her too?
@coconutislanddrones Жыл бұрын
@@TrueNorthCaptures Never seen her when I was filming this video but was down that way last year and she approached me with her stories. Tried to make out she owned the air lol. I couldn't be bothered listening to her so put her straight pretty much immediately. She wasn't happy but hey-ho

@@coconutislanddrones She actually does own the airspace but you have the right to travel through it. Everyone in Scotland legally owns the area from the sky to the centre of the earth on their owned land, unless theres an exclusion for mineral rights etc as is the case in the Leadhills. As previously mentioned it doesn't mean u can stop people flying over it, only building permanent structures etc.
