Even though I remember nothing about 1986 (I was born in 1989) I always liked the sense of time travel I got looking at Chernobyl frozen in time. Now that Fukushima is basically stuck in 2011 and its years past are in the teens since it happened it hits so different. I remember that year so well. I remember everything I was doing.. The sense of the era in time that Fukushima was is beginning to show there now. It sure puts Chernobyl in perspective.

Why go into a nuclear wasteland when your going to sick from it in the future ? Throw your cloth's away and shave your head so you do cross contaminate your laundry and bedding and don't go back your not immune to radiation for goodness sake . Do you really think this will not come back and haunt you forever?

I hope you had a radiation detector to avoid hot spots. It’s largely clear by now but there’s a good chance there are still pockets that could be dangerous.

Isn't it still radioactive? You might get radiation poisoning
@RosieM-u6q4 ай бұрын
It can't be too radioactive with plants, bugs and birds chirping away.

nah, these towns have been open to the public since 2017, the cleanup crews have done a very good job at decontaminating the zone to pre-disaster levels, also the reason why the majority of homes are still abandoned is because the owners have most likely started new lives elsewhere in japan

@@RosieM-u6q There are still wildlife in high radiation areas also in chernobyl forrests. They can survive but humans cant

In the short of this, I noticed a few things that I didn’t notice in this. The anime girl pillow wasn’t in this and neither was the rucksack, which both should stick out. Loved it tho - but plz tell us where in Fukushima this is!

What its the location from google maps like cordonation
Is it really considered stealing things if they were left behind and the families clearly aren't going back to get these things. If they were they already would have. It's more like free stuff and a wasted neighborhood where homeless could reside
