Hey explorers! Another old country farm house just sitting all alone in the trees.
This old home has furniture/beds and stuff left behind and is slowly starting to now fall apart.
Seems to have been used periodically some years ago for its last use. A grand old home with original features still inside , would have been an original homestead to the area. Has some huge sheds which seems to have been used for shindigs and parties back in the day. Hope you all enjoy the tour , thanks for watching :-)

That farmhouse could be fixed up and rented out, no worries! I love that they didn't paint over the wooden panels, also the stained glass windows behind the wood burning stove. I liked the whole house, really. Good find , l sincerely hope they rent it out so it can have some joy and life back within it's walls!🦘😁🤗

Watching here in Minnesota with a temp of 25 degrees Fahrenheit this evening. It’s been below zero, freezing rain and snow, so above zero temp is a plus.😄. Thank you for another interesting explore. Hopefully your weather cools down some, and thank you Paul for putting up with the heat to document this piece of history.👍🏻😊

Ha -Ha, I'm watching it snow outside while you are cooking, strange old world.... The farm appears to have been started about 90 years ago, as a guess from the trees. The "Stage " area was a loading dock, for trucks with a heavy load that required a flat transition to a cargo bed. (Fuel Drums, Fertilizers?) if you look carefully at the flooring it has a definite sag downward by the sill. looks like you could put it back to use fairly quickly. Cheers.

I love the way you peeked around the corner of the Shindig barn to see if any sheep were in there before going in, lol Baa Baa Paul sheep There was what looked like an old drum set up on that stage, or am I way off base? Just for interest sake most large older farm implement sheds have a raised decking for storage off the ground as well as easy access to load and unload trailers. The top shed on my old farm had a large raised wooden decking which became a bar and games area. Because it was too big for it's own good I turned the shed into my car restoration workshop but spent more time on the decking with my mate from town than on the tools with the cars. Others have converted them to stages and have locals over for local bands, or any excuse to get together for a drunken night.

Thanks for this video and tour! This summer was a hot one (My first summer in regional Victoria haha) I really had issues with it 😂 can only imagine what it was like out there! I noticed when you were leaving the house they had a Kmart laundry basket - a grey one up against the wall. Pretty sure they only came out in the last two years or so? So I think it’s probably been used fairly recently for boarding farmhands etc, which with the seperate clothes horses for drying their clothes in pretty much every room would make sense.

Hello Paul, could you please tell me why these old houses are often refered to as "girl", "old lady" in your video? The feminine gender makes sense in my native language (French) because "La maison" (house/home) is of feminine gender, but in English it isn't so is there a specific reason? I find it very sweet and cool, I'm just wondering :) This was was so nice in and out, and I loved the two tiny coloured windows on each side of the stove, as well as the other 20's features. Hi Brifin2. A home is nurturing and is usually seen as a place of beauty. It is terminology that has been used here in Australia for as long as our history goes back I think :-) Cheers for watching

@@urbexindigo5164 Thank you for taking the time to explain :) I thought about this, but wondered if there was also another reason. As a woman I find it great :)

I’d say the stage is where sheep were shorn, I’d guess you were in an old shearing shed.

Light or power points reasonably late style. Flat screen TV, also reasonably late.

Was that place used as a bar or something? Would that be the reason for the "wet area" and "no alcohol beyond this point" signs?

These homes in the country are always my favorites. I love when you stand outside and pan around and it's just beautiful, flat vistas for miles in every direction. So gorgeous. This one is situated nicely, too, with a few trees and the house was big! And it's in surprisingly good shape. This was such a good find, Paul! I did wonder where your cobweb stuck was when you needed it! 😂 Have a lovely week!

@@urbexindigo5164 Ha! You recognized the dog? I don't know why YT switched my name or even how they got it, but it's annoying! I feel like nobody knows who I am any more! 😂 Oh, and the dog is Kirby. ❤️

When you go into these old farm houses you should have a mask on, as back in them days they used asbestos in the walls and roof.
