I can't speak for anyone else but I am so glad you are doing this lengthened video. Showing every little thing and not skipping anything. I grew up in Pennsylvania and still live there. I always said I wanted to travel out west. Life got in the way. I'm now 70 and can barely walk. Well, I'm getting there through you. Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm.
@philipd.62572 жыл бұрын
With this type of video I've come to realize what makes The Woo stand out among the rest. Where most vlogers, in my opinion, go through the motions of "showing" you something, The Wooster "shares" his boundless love, enthusiasm, appreciation and dedication to a vanishing America. This series is a masterpiece with social and historical significance. It's focused and purposeful. A valuable visual chronicle of the present and not too distant past history, culture, and people of Americana I cringe when a vloger says something like; "I couldn't figure out what I was going to do today so I thought we'd go to a Burger place that I've been thinking about." Fine, I'll take 12 -15 minute out of my day to watch some guy eat. Pointless, unimaginative, shoddy and insulting. Those empty buses are a prime example of the thousands of stories they could tell if they could only talk. What Adam does so masterfully is to make suggestions that we can then weave into our own imaginations. A passing train becomes more than a train. It punctuates the mood and spirit of the moment. It becomes like the distant sound of the barking dog that often appears in a Woo piece. Atmosphere! Great work! Looking to the developing of this endeavor.

Great 66 Tour - thx! In the early 70's did as much of 66 as possible between FL & CA in a 69 Pontiac LeMans - & it sure was much more interesting & unique than the 10 is today - we had to take our time because of the 2 lane double yellow line twists & turns blacktop that 66 was - saw quiet a few headon collisions - did indeed swim in really unique pools like that one 50 summers ago, the stars were vivid & bright, one could hear coyotes howling off in the distance & yes, even the occasional midnight train - enjoyed 'homemade cooking' at the small 'Diners' & Cafes - in those days 66 actually got really quiet at nite - so you really soaked up the vibe of each stop, immersed in the local color & feel, as most of the motels & attractions were Mom & Pop stops - & ya couldn't help but get excited after seeing one billboard after another ANNOUNCING: 'only 10 more miles to ... then 5 miles to ... then 1 mile to ... then 100 feet to ... Turn Right Here! Even stopped one night at a Drive-in Movie, nestled right up against a large mountain, saw licence plates from all over the Country - sand & large boulders everywhere - funny thing, though, don't remember the movie but sure do remember the smells & the sounds - A real experience - Dudez: a most special time ...

I know you're big and famous so you probably don't respond to comments but have you ever been to Pensacola Florida? This was America's first settlement and there is a lot of historical artifacts here a lot of cool things to check out and it's a military town. Since you're on your way back to Florida and you take Interstate 10 well Interstate 10 comes right through Pensacola I would love to see Adam the woo here in my city.

I lived in Pensacola for a year when I was a kid

@@TheDailyWoo well I'll be damned that is so cool. Thanks for responding I didn't expect one but I love that you're going old school on your channel because now that I'm pushing 40 I find myself wanting to do more old school things in my life as well and thank you for all the years of entertainment through some of My Darkest Hours you were one of these content creators that I appreciate so much that were there. You may not know me and I don't know you but you've helped thousands of people I'm sure and I just wanted to say thanks.

I hope Adam is doing okay. Something about him lately has me concerned. I hope he's taking care of himself physically and mentally.

I feel like he wants to spend more time with his family. As he said we are all just getting older and some of us are older than others so we try to appreciate the times we have to spend together. I wish only the best for Adam! His work has inspired so much.

My wife walks in from the kitchen and looks at the tv for a good 30 seconds before asking "why do you watch this stuff?" Anyway, t's been 10 minutes and I don't think she realizes that she's been watching this whole time. edit: 12:20 oh heck yeah another train just went by!

Hi DailyWoo, watched this from the Black Forest in Southern Germany and was really amazed how many nice and interesting things can still be found on the old 66 Route. That makes me feel I have to pack my things immediately and follow your footsteps 🙂 Nice Greetings Till

I love this. I always want to road trip in area's that me and my family traveled in the good old days (late 60's-80's) in a late 50's plymoth station wagon then up graded to 59 el camino with 6 pack camper to newer chevy truck with bigger camper to the final upgrade of a older beachcomber motorhome! My dad took us all over the states and many times to Mexico to Florencios beach located about 100 miles south of Ensinada. We were so blessed that my dad Paul h. Foster and my mom Shirley gave us all these wonderful experiences.and i also love seeing the trains, they are far and few between in other places that once were as busy as that track. Thank you so much for sharing! .......Travel mercies!

Well one of the nice features of KZbin is that you can stop a video midway and pick up right where you left off. So take all the time you need on these videos which you were born for....

11:20 The antique busses and motorhomes (and busses converted to motorhomes) were phenomenal. Rusty old vehicles make my imagination run wild. Pristine, restored ones bore me. But rusty relics conjure up all kinds of nostalgia, daydreams, memories, and ideas. I could live in some of those! I'm single, of course! 😂

One of my old high school buddies from 40 years ago, Ryan Ribelin, is a campus Minister at NAU in Flagstaff. He and his brother Tim have been there since 1985 or so.

The campground with the pool was a KOA camp & RV park! I stayed there when we saw the grand canyon. Yes it was huge! But at night walking a ways from the camp. The stars were amazing! 🤣🤣 I'm good..come on Adam! You're at Ft Courage!! Man I can't believe how much is just gone! Ok it was a while back but like you, I saw those places still open. I guess when flying to the Bahamas and cruise lines became the family vacation all these mom & pop places faded from thought. Great video! Thanks for taking the time to get what remnants are still standing. Happy Travels!

Recently at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, Spartan Trailers had a 75th reunion with several dozen restored trailers to walk through! Spartan Aviation made travel trailers when WWII ended, from 1946-1960 only!
