Wow what memories this brings! My first car was a barn find. 1954 Chevy four speed automatic 5 window pickup deluxe model. It had a clock, radio and not one but two cigarette lighters. First year without a split front windshield. Loved that thing. Wish I had it now for hauling garden plants, soil and bark dust. My dad moved it to the backyard in the city from a friends farm. It sat for a while there until he got tired of mom fussing at him about it sitting. He then gave it me to work on and get it running. Please Alex fix it up and use it for your business. It will serve as a great advertisement for your shop.

Parades. Hadn't thought of that. Great idea. Here where I live an antique shop did what he plans on doing. The truck sat there for years. Eventually the windows got broken out, the body continued to deteriorate. It became an eyesore. Such a sad end to what was really a piece of art.

My thoughts exactly! Use it for bigger hauls, mobile advertising and could still be parked at the front of the store when not in use. Doesn't look like it would take that much to get it drivable/useable.

And if he really wants some flowers in it, he could probably make some easily removable flower boxes to set in the bed or where ever he wants them. Then if he needed flowers somewhere else, he can just grab the boxes and move them there.

. This truck is awesome. The paint has a beautiful patina. It's from the year of my birth. I would so much enjoy cruising down the road in this. My last pickup was a baby blue, '65 Chevy step side. Alex, my vehicle in my teens in the 1960s was a 1948 Chevrolet pick up truck. I completely rebuilt the truck in shop class, did a classic black paint job. Inside however, I replaced the headliner with an angora wool type of material. The floorboards were covered in the same, long fiber material. The foot pedals were enhanced with those Crome and black feet type things including the dimmer switch. The shift knob was replaced with an Eight Ball. The exhaust was channeled through a double stack semi chrome affair. On the back window I had a couple of Playboy Bunny stickers that bracketed lettering that said: “U S Male”. It was a cool truck to ride around in but not really much of a date vehicle. STP stickers adorned the dash as well. STP was very popular in the sixties and those stickers were everywhere.
