Loved exploring mines growing up around Mojave Ca. My wife was adopted by an older couple. Recently discovered that her adopted dad’s father was a Silver Miner in Arizona and was also recorded as a Civil War veteran-really brought a connection to these places I’ve always been intrigued by! Thanks Gly!

Thnx for the cool video bud, this was insane FYI 2nd time watching this one 🤣. One can not imagine that there is such big space in these old mines for that era of mining. I think going into these deep mines will be harder than getting out, the one thing that amazes me is that these mines appear to be fairly safe to explore as long as you keep a level and clear head. Great job you two, Blessings and be safe out there 😎

I wish you could do a collaboration with @LostMines overseas. You, Gly, and the Lost Mines boys Al & Ewen are my favorite mine explorers. You both have the best way to describe and educate about the abandoned mines. That would be epic to see you in the mines from the 1700’s and the other boys from across the pond over in a dry mine for once. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Glad to see you both together again and exploring! You two make great videos on your own. But when you combine your talents they are really amazing! Getting the perspective and depth is what sets you guys apart from everyone else. And just by the artifacts they left behind in the 80's You know that place is steep and remote. Can't wait to see what you found Gly & Mr M . Finally, a cliff Hanger mine exploration again!👍 Thank You Both!

I never thought of documenting the mines the way you do...top notch. I tend to go out exploring once a month to get my adventure on and look foward to all your videos in between. @27:05 is a roller placed on the ties in a decline shaft. Often times there will be a tie that the hoist cable rubs on, due to angle changes in the shaft. The roller keeps the hoist cable from cutting through the tie. That roller siezed up, you can see grooves in the roller caused by the friction of the hoist cable.

Yes, this was a great explore that you did. Not minding it at all seeing it for (my third) time. Big operation!! In the "powder storage" adet I spotted a stick of dynamite on the ground......lower left in the scene. This was the mine where you and Mr. M had to walk the old road 1/2 or more, mile to get up to the workings. What alot of stamina that took!! As the workings, heavy machines, shops were up so high, where would the miners have stayed over night? I didn't see any camp/bldgs. as you panned the outer limits? The first drift.....what a cavern of stopeing!!! Noticed of the "artifacts" that you were running into, they seemed to have been set up or on their sides by someone who did this explore before you. (glad that person was careful) so that you @ others who come to this mine can all enjoy the "finds". Everywhere you stop, showing the "pockets" of the miner's workings 31:24, Those men did some really HARD work, but that area must have been peppered with gold ore vugs or pockets. I'm guessing but,, this mine owener/s must have employed alot of workers. Back in the 30's 40's, there wasn't much work to find and do for money, but when this re-opened in the 80"s, industry changed some. Still, there were alot of workers in this mine!! At 37:06, the dots denote the number of ore carts filled. (its not graffiti...ha,ha.) (well, you may have been learning too about all the things you were seeing about you) as this "rerun" goes back acouple yrs. as to when you were there. You've come along way, and showed us many sights, and taught us all about this mining country. You were having fun.....we are getting enjoyment also. Thank you again and again, and have a nice Easter.

Good morning Gly,,, Magnificent drone introductory at the beginning !!😊. Yes,,, a masterpiece never gets old only more attention to detail. Even history can repeat itself and still have the same effect.😊. The drill artifact was still well preserved, one doesn’t see that very often. A very interesting mine, each mine has its own story to show and tell!! Very glorified ballrooms and stopes indeed this mine had. Your footage doesn’t do justice one would have to be in person to get a idea of awesome size.. Thanks for a second chance at the site of a magnificent view and piece this mine had to affect your viewers.👍👀👀🌟

Hey gly I recently explored a mine down here in California it has a bunch of vertical shafts and adits and many waste rock piles. It might be a mine worth checking out for yourself. It's called the talc city in California, in inyo county

@EraX52
@EraX52 Жыл бұрын
@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces it looks pretty stable too actually there were some really high levels too, and there were many inclined shafts and there was this one winze inside the adit. Around the mine there is other operations and many, many, many, structures. I think in total there were about like 8 ore bins in the area. If you want more info about it, I got inspiration from a channel known as "The Mine Junkie" and it was recent about 3 days ago. And surprising enough the adits or shafts were not blocked off by the BLM. Which got me intrigued. Also I like your Nevada and Arizona mine videos. But I would also like to see some california mines in you channel. Keep up the great work and I hope you finish the district that you are doing.
