Gly Coolness, right on my good sir! Im a 40 yrs young man whom works too much for a living, though now during my off season I've got a little extry time on my hands and in between projects I'm fortunate enough to catch some of your awesome content! It's been around 2 yrs that I've followed your channel and it's my absolute pleasure to thank you for the entertainment you so cautiously bestow upon us! If anything, you're fueling my interest to get out into the wilds more! Here on the east coast of the US there's PLENTY of interesting places in ol PA coal country to keep folks busy. Again though, I wholeheartedly thank you for the content as I truly enjoy watching you and Mr M traverse the underside of the southwest. You do just a phenomenal job of documenting and filming everything, just keep yourself alive and many MANY blessings to you and yours my friend! Keep it coming and please stay yourself safe ("as safe as possible") and be sure to give ol Bob plenty of love n fresh oil and we'll be lookin for the next video! 😁🤙

Terrific ingenuity with the trommel, the smelting furnace, and with the wind turbine. I'm impressed !! Somebody had a head on their shoulders !! The wind turbine could run an alternator, a low volume pump, a drive for the trommel, or half a hundred other applications. There is quite an extensive waste pile so there would be some extensive workings in the drifts. I also note from the looks of the collapsed adits, that someone took the time and effort to use explosives to close the adits. tsk, tsk... Thanks for a great video !!!

@oculusangelicus89782 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing some of the footage with your new toy drone with rotor guards. That thing was meant to do a bunch of acrobatics, you should try to include some high altitude backflips when your filming from the precipice of a cliff or mountain peak, just once to add a bit of thrill to the the footage. I mean you have tool that does that kind of stuff and it likely has a number of programmed moves you could do without worrying about messing it up, you should give it a try, with the handheld twin joystick controller, all you need now is a VR set of goggles that you can slide your phone into and do it the FPV way. You'll have a blast, I guarantee it! This was a cool episode, nice to see some sites in California, but the bat bars are becoming a pain to see when you go out, but in a place like Commie-fornia, it's expected and if you ever come across a site, where it isn't, you need to keep it top secret or let the other mine explorers know about if before they close it so they can enjoy it before it gets shut down forever. Isn't there a way you can gain access to a bat barred mine if you make an application for it? Say if you wanted to do some "prospecting" or are they sealed without a way to get in unless you destroy the bars? Asking for a friend...LOL Just kidding. I would never do such a thing. Besides, I'm not capable of doing any mine exploration anyways. Thanks again "Gly" for the video, and the cinematic efforts you put into your work, I for one, greatly appreciate it! Stay safe, and watch out for any aggressive cacti, the Family Jewels are heirlooms that cannot be replaced! LOL

05:29 - Looks like a home-made flotation cell. So, just guessing at their flow sheet: trommel/media mill as a crude pre-crusher, possibly the washing machine barrel was being used as another media mill or arastra to make sand, followed by flotation to sort the sulfides, and then the crucible to smelt the concentrate? Can't imagine it was very efficient, but given the location, it doesn't seem like they would be pulling out much free-milling metal. Thoughts?

I am 57 and suffer a lot of pain so I am pretty much housebound these days. Your video's are such an escape for me, the drone footage is simply beautiful the US is such a beautiful country. I also feel like I have learnt so much about the mining from the early 1900's and I am in complete awe of the people who risked so much for the little reward. Gly< thank you so much for producing such amazing educational entertainment but please take care, sometimes I have to watch through my hands, lol. I have noticed that sometimes when you see something interesting like the absolute bottom of an old mine you become almost in a trance and just to go for it!! This worries me Gly take care.
